This was just so so for me. I liked the setting but disliked how she kept calling the head of the house 'him' and how every man was always staring at her.

#readathon #dewys24hourreadathon I enjoyed this book and reading about this wonderful country's origins and it's development over the years. Not the best picture because my light was casting a glare.

Got these at a yard sale for $10. Can't wait to put them on my bookshelf! I have never read Stephen King yet. Which should I start with first? I was thinking #Carrie since that was his first novel #YardSaleFinds #StephenKing I'm #booked #booked2018

While I can have my mornings to myself, it is enough. I think it no sacrifice to join occasionally in evening engagements. Society has claims on us all; and I profess myself one of those who consider intervals of recreation and amusement as desirable for everybody.'

Based on a real life couple from 1760s England and France. Repetitive at times. Thought I would like it since it was based on real events but I didn't.

Read this for a different challenge. I've decided that I really don't like romantic books. It was a historic romance but still didn't care for it. Girl has an arranged marriage to a Man she's never met by her stepmother. Girl runs away and meets the man she was to marry under pretentious names. She works for him. Later finds out he was the one, arguments but of course end up together. On my Kindle since 2013.

"You've done the tear duct dance already" - Amos Decker to Natalie. I loved this line and may have to use it sometime. I didn't realize this was 3rd in a series by I thought it fine for a stand alone read. It had a twist on the mystery in which I didn't see coming. Though 81 chapters, they were short and easy to read.

This book was borrowed from the library with this word being white out! Can you believe someone would do this? There are actually 3 areas in this book like it. I will tell the library when I return it. Good book by the way.

Quite disturbing how this nurse got away with what he did to many patients and for 16 years at 9 🏥. I do recommend this 📖.

Loving this book so far. It mentions so many passengers on the 🚢: so many that lived and those that didn't. It is like a narrative timeline.

#Booked2018 Read for the cozy mystery prompt. This was my first Agatha Christie book and I loved this one. Great mystery with Miss Marple and The Body in the Library in hardcover too!

Lostinagoodbook I‘ve never read an Agatha Christie book either. I need to pick one up. 🙂 2y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Great job! We had lots of Agatha for this prompt. @Cinfhen @4thhouseontheleft (edited) 2y

#booked2018 I really wanted to enjoy this book. I did not. It was basically a monolog of her life instead of making people feel better about themselves. I can see talking about some of her background but should have had a different title like 'Surviving life as a fat girl: My biography". I found some parts gross: like talking of her dogs period, exploits from camp, etc. I'm not a prude, can take a good joke but her jokes were not good. My opinion.

4thhouseontheleft Sorry this one didn‘t work out! 2y

Sad, Bittersweet, Courage, Resilient and an Outstanding 📖 I highly recommend to everyone. From moving to California, being a delinquent to Olympic runner in 1936 then joining the military, lost in the Pacific Ocean for a couple months then being captured by the Japanese makes this such a compelling book. Five stars all the way. #booked2018 Read for prompt #1 featuring an Olympic Sport

tournevis @euphemy Your getting great advice here! I would add on tip to @RaimeyGallant 's tips post. On Android, there is an even easier trick to get quiz and games pics for other Littens' posts. If you install Firefox, you can click the share arrow at the botton of a given post and open in Firefox. The letter app will allow you to press and save the pic to your camera roll, at which point you'll can use it like any other pic in you oen post. 2y
tournevis @euphemy Sorry for the typos; my son is all over me as I type. 2y
RaimeyGallant @tournevis Hi! Can you explain this to me with a little more detail so I can add it to the post? 2y
tournevis @RaimeyGallant Ok. I don't know if that's actually meant to work, but it does. If you have Firefox installed, the trick is that when you want to save a picture from someone post, click the share arrow and choose open in Firefox. The post will open in Firefox! In Firefox, long press the image and chose "save to device" (or words to that effect). Then the picwill be in your camera roll and usable like any other pic. 2y
RaimeyGallant @tournevis Thanks! I'm going to mull this over, because I have to figure out if that's actually less steps. Isn't it less steps to screenshot the image, which means it automatically saves to your camera roll, and then it's just a matter of cropping it in Litsy? Maybe it's the same amount of steps? It would be a nice added feature to have an option to save the cropped photo from Litsy without having to recrop. I wonder if anyone brought that up... 2y
RaimeyGallant @tournevis ...in the facebook group. 2y
tournevis @RaimeyGallant With this method, there is no recrop necessary. 2y
euphemy Thanks @Jess7 and @tournevis for the advice! Much appreciated! 2y
RaimeyGallant @tournevis Cool. That was my understanding. Trying to mull over if it's less steps. It's hard for me to tell because I'm on iphone. I'm happy to add it to the marathon Litsy tips post if it is less steps, but I'm wary if it isn't because that post is already pretty long. :) 2y
tournevis @RaimeyGallant It's not long. It's comprehensive. 2y
RaimeyGallant Sorry for taking over your comments @euphemy! :) @julesg, do you know how many steps what @tournevis is talking about takes so we can figure out if I should add it to the Litsy tips post? Less steps than the method I mention above, same amount or more? 2y
julesG @RaimeyGallant @tournevis - It is probably the way to go if your phone gives you trouble with screenshots, like strange buttons to press, broken buttons, etc. I think a screenshot is easier, less steps: screenshot, cropping of the image in Litsy. Whereas the other method means: share, open in Firefox, safe image, inserting/cropping in Litsy. On that note, my phone makes a screen if I swipe downwards with three fingers on the screen. 👇👇👇👇 2y
julesG Pretty simple. Some phones offer really neat features. It is worth checking the manual or to Google to find them. 2y
julesG Welcome to Litsy! 2y
RaimeyGallant @julesG Thanks! You're the best, as always. :) 2y
tournevis @julesG You just reminded me that my phone has that feature and I hadn't enabled it. Thx! 2y

BookaholicNatty Oh I just noticed that one of the right was a graphic novel of A Wrinkle in Time!!! That‘s ahhhhhmazimg!!!!! 2y
euphemy Thank you @julesG and it's 👌 @RaimeyGallant I'm trying to learn from this. I had a nice picture of the 2 books to post but Litsy cuts it off like Instagram. Is there a way to prevent this? I take closeups of my books so they don't need to be cropped but instead get cut off by the app. 2y
euphemy Thank you @BookaholicNatty and yes the graphic is pretty 😎 . I had borrowed it from the library. 2y
RaimeyGallant Does your phone have the ability to take square pictures? It's an option on iphone. Then there's no cropping required. Otherwise, I frame wide when taking a shot and then crop. (edited) 2y
euphemy @RaimeyGallant Not that I know of. I have a Droid phone. I will have to try the wide framing. Thank you! 2y
