Not exactly #planestrainsautomobiles but one of the very first books I ever bought myself was about the Titanic. That particular book is stored away, but it sparked my love of reading about history and disasters. Probably a bit macabre for a preschooler, but thankfully my parents never minded. 😉#photoadaynov16

LauraBrook This is a great book! As someone who was obsessed w the Titanic, I've got lots of books on the subject. So glad I bought it for myself the first time I saw the museum tour! 💙🚢 7y
Libby1 Come to the Titanic Museum in Belfast! It's just down the road from where I live and it is excellent. 7y
megt @LauraBrook yes! I think I grabbed it at the museum tour, too. I was probably the only elementary schooler who made some serious purchases on that field trip and not just a key chain or something. 😄 7y

megt @Libby1 I would love to visit someday! I've seen some touring museum exhibits here in the States, but I'm sure there's so much more to see and learn! 7y
Reagan My parents had a set of books about disasters through the ages that I was obsessed with as a child. I still think about some of that artwork. I turned out fine 😬 7y
megt @Rjanke I think I turned out fine, too! It's sort of a family joke now that someone should have been worried by all my darker obsessions when I was younger. 😬 7y
