Reading is a great escape- I especially love mysteries , thrillers, fantasy, sci-fi, and a tiny touch of romance

I enjoyed this book a lot. I'd say it's in the top 3 Stephen King books I've read so far. The characters were all interesting and the story had a plot that kept you invested the whole time. The ending didn't end the way I was expecting, but to be honest I'm not sure what I wanted it to be either 😅

This book started off a little slow but after the first five or so chapters I was completely invested in the story of Leon and Tiffy. Tiffy's toxic relationship with Justin didn't seem so bad in the beginning, as it was being perceived by Tiffy. But after a while as she starts to realize how abusive he was towards her, it starts to become very apparent in the story. I even teared up a little at the end..

This audiobook was one of the best I've listened to. The story was intriguing and the characters actually all had individual tendencies that made them unique. Even if there were so many near the end that I kept having to remember who's who.. There were portions of this story that were pretty gory as well, descriptions of battle scenes near the end had me cringing a bit.

The ending did feel a little lacking. But I think it was necessary.

Fantastic read. I laughed, I cringed, I cried, it was a wonderful whirlwind of amusement. Loved it.

This book was very well written. I love the story telling from Chani's perspective. I do think that there was a little too much alcohol abuse and 'then' didn't feel as genuine because Chani and Gabe were drunk during most of their interactions. But I do understand the message The author wanted to portray. Especially with Gabe's recovery. The ending was a whirlwind of excitement and overall, I enjoyed this read.

This book felt like two different stories. One story about Charlie and Mr.Boditch, and the other about Charlie and Empis. I liked both parts of the story. I did listen to most of it on audiobook, which was wonderfully narrated. The story did feel lacking however, I can't quite put my finger on it.

This book was very easy to read. Every chapter added a new piece of evidence to the story, letting you try and put those pieces together, before tying them all to each other in the end. Tony Hillerman was a talented author, and I will keep thrifting these books for a good quick read.

So many unexpected twists and turns! The last few chapters had me glued to the pages. I do wish this series was less romance/one true love/gushy mushy and more fantasy. Because when there is a plot it is really good.

I wish there was more plot per chapter, I felt there were a lot of repetitive conversations and inner thoughts. The ending had me needing more immediately though. So with that I must read the next.

This book was thrilling. Jack and Alison are great characters with badass personalities. I'm extremely satisfied with how the book ends. The flow of backstory mixed with character dialogue and plot was done seamlessly.

I'll definitely be checking out more of this author's work!

Not as exciting as I originally thought it would be. I understand some of the reviews saying it felt as though Agatha Christie didn't choose the murderer until after she had finished writing. I enjoy being able to pick up on clues along the way and solve the mystery too. In some parts it was difficult to remember all of the characters, their personalities were meshed together. Especially the men. Overall I give this book 2.5 stars.

I enjoyed this Lucy Foley novel. The main character was pretty reckless, which, at moments, got a little annoying. But overall it was a great mystery to read. The plot twist was totally unexpected as well! There were some things that I ended up predicting happening but that's part of why I enjoy reading mysteries!

I really enjoyed this read. The writing was very descriptive. I could easily visualize all of the territory as well as the interactions between characters. It was like I was inside of a Navajo mystery. This book has gotten me back into the mystery genre.

Reminds me a lot of the Guest List. Had some good twists and turns, kept me on my toes! Lucy Foley makes great characters that you love to hate.

I hope Heather & Doug have the happy ending they deserve.

This story was a little more slow than the first. It also had a lot of parts in it that made me angry. Just talk to each other! Trust each other! Stop being so stupid! And that ending.. makes me so angry! Now I have to read the last one. 😅 I'd rate this a 3/5 compared to the first. It's not bad- I still enjoy the writing. The story in this one is just.. it made me frustrated!

An interesting twist on how to view humanity. I initially thought I wouldn't like the spiders, because you know.. they are spiders. But... It was extremely interesting reading through their evolution of technology and culture. All the while the humans were essentially evolving in reverse- going back to their war torn ways. The ending was interesting, I'm curious to see where the next book takes these children of time.

Out of the other books in the series this one was the hardest to get through. It was very long, a lot of training, war, more training, war. The ending I enjoyed reading, the way it almost ended would have made me super sad. We love happy endings in this house.

I enjoyed how every chapter took place from the perspective of a different character. There were some points in the story where I would get the two ghosts confused. I enjoyed the mystery of what happened in the lives of the characters that made them who they are but the whole story I felt was just lacking something. Not really a chilling story, more so just a lackluster haunted house with a very dramatic family that needs to seek therapy.

Pretty good, a very unique take on storytelling. I liked the small references to Christianity. The ending was kind of confusing. Where did the parents go? I also was a little bit confused in terms of the hurricane and the apocalypse, was the apocalypse also happening or was it just an inflated view of a natural disaster from the perspective of rich youth? Well, interesting and short read none the less! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
