Finished my first Orilium exam.

Miss Lollipop‘s Lion by Judy Varga gives me an Ordinary in Inscription (a childhood favorite).

I really enjoyed returning to this one.

I‘m still reading The Hour of the Witch by Chris Bohjalian but I‘m not sure if I‘ll continue it in August.

I don‘t know. I just have a feeling about these books.

Got the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld from my mom while I was on vacation.

Had a great vacation but I‘m glad to be home.

Some series continuations I‘d really like to get to before the end of the year.

The next installment of my favorite series comes out next month. It‘s my most anticipated release of the year and I still need to catch up…..

This one is definitely not something I would typically pick up. I picked it up because I really enjoyed one of Maguire‘s other works and this one did not disappoint.

This will complete my double spin for February.

Leaving Sunday for vacation so I thought I‘d share the books I‘m taking with me.

I‘m most excited for The Hour of the Witch by Chris Bohjalian.

I‘m trying to finish this before I leave on vacation Sunday.

I found this one to be very confusing right from the start and then just kept asking myself what the point to the book was. Why was I being told this story?

I read this for my family book club and it was a dud. Personally I would not recommend it.

Finished Anne of the Island by L. M. Montgomery this month and taking both Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee and A Gathering of Ravens by Scott Oden into July.

Reading this one in small chunks each week for book club and managed to get myself up to date. 140 pages.

I‘m also reading Anne of the Island along side this and I‘ve managed to get 150 pages into it.

Both books are just ok for the moment but hopefully they get better as I keep going.

Excited to get back to the family book club with this one.

These were the last books I hauled before 2022 on here and this check in didn‘t do so well…. I‘ve read one of these but the Patricia Briggs ones are part of a series and I‘m not up to them just yet but hopefully I can get to them soon.

Taking a look back at my first hauls posted about 4 years ago and seeing if I actually read what I buy.

One is picture is from my trip to Alcatraz and the other is from a Black Friday bookstore trip. And it turns out I do actually read the books I buy.

The Temeraire Series took the longest as I just picked it up this year and is technically still a current read because I‘ve only read the first book in this bind up.

Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs was April‘s #doublespin pick.

Great read from my favorite series by my favorite author.

This was February‘s #bookspin pick and I really thought I‘d like it more than I did.

While this pick was just ok it did get me more intrigued to pick up The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley

I read this one with my family for our book club and personally enjoyed it a lot.

I would say if you want the history stuff you‘re better to go to a different book but if you want a good story this will hit the spot.

One thing we talked about was that it doesn‘t feel like Hamnet‘s story but rather that if his grieving mother.

My partner had some time off work so we got back into the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton. This is book 4 and I believe the book I stop at the last time I picked the series up.

I really enjoyed this one and am excited to continue.

What did you think of when you read this one if you have?

Been gone a while…. It was accidental at first and then my mental health took a really bad turn for a very long time. I‘m working on it and hopefully getting back to posting regularly will help at least a little bit.

I thought I‘d return with the books I acquired while I was away. I‘m really excited to get to them all but I always find it hard to pick which to start with….

Which one would you start with?

Another great book in Mercy‘s world. Glad have her exploring her heritage a little more.
