I saw an ad for this show on TV (on a channel I don't get at home,) then immediately saw the book in the bookstore.
I don't know about the show, but I can't put the book down.

Tech week has me brain fried and exhausted. But my hour-long commute to the theatre is better with a new audiobook and I just picked up some easy reading from the library for my “down time” (if I get any.) #stagemanagerlife

It took me a bit to get into the narration style, but now that I have, I'm really enjoying this book. I read a blurb of it somewhere and found it at the library because it sounded like something I would like. It's totally different from what I thought, but I'm still really enjoying it.
I love pleasant little surprises like that in a book.

You ever hesitate to write a review on Goodreads because you‘re afraid the author might see it?
I liked one storyline of this book much better than the other. But I suspect the portion I didn‘t like was based closely on events from the author‘s life.
I didn‘t want to say that I didn‘t like what she wrote about her life on Goodreads. So I just said nothing.

Well, I judged this one too soon. I was really excited about it at first. Brother Francis did the things and it was fun and I really liked Brother Francis.
And then other things happened and I got bored and I wanted Brother Francis back. It didn‘t go where I thought it was going to go.

The design nerd in me is going nuts. The first few chapters of this book is a lot of what I did my senior thesis on in college (color theory - in my case color theory and how it relates to theatrical design.)
This makes my heart go putter pat.

Dolly Gahh! I wish I‘d known that about you. I have a friend who dyes fiber and has designed an alternative to the color wheel. Maybe I‘ll send you the booklet anyway, interested? (edited) 6y
