This week's #WednesdayTradition features The Impossible Resurrection of Grief by Octavia Cade, a SciFi candle from Page Turning Candle Co., and Mr. Pink Mead by Fallentimber Meadery (as gifted to me by my friends at Dark Age Creations). I think this will be my last read for #SciFiSeptember and #Demonathon.⁣

My final wrap up for the #SuperSeptember #Readathon is done. The only goal I hit this time was reading hours, every book of the WoT is over 600pgs so takes that much longer to read. Once I started to dive into the world, it‘s hard to read anything else till it‘s done! And it‘s 14 books long too😱My goals were:
📚Read almost 4 of 5 books
⏱Read for 75hrs25m, more than 48🙌
❌Didn‘t manage any #SciFiSeptember reads😞

How was your #readathon?

Ruthiella You still have 10 more days to get in a #SciFiSeptember book! 🚀 👽 3y
EadieB 75 hours is awesome! Thanks for participating! 3y

I finished my sons scarf while #audioknitting today! It‘s about 8ft long, has to be coz my son is 6‘5, and is fisherman‘s rib bordered by garter stitch. First time I‘ve followed a pattern & I learnt two new stitches, purl & K1b. I love the colour. I‘m now on the 5th book of the WOT, though I really need to start alternating with some #SciFiSeptember & #BookspinBingo books! Rand has now declared himself both Dragon Reborn & Car‘a‘carn to the Aiel.

Soubhiville That looks so cozy! 💙 3y
MidnightBookGirl That's a gorgeous scarf! 3y
Lizpixie @Soubhiville @MidnightBookGirl thank you! It‘s so soft & chunky, I think it‘s the best thing I‘ve ever knitted🙌💙🤍💙🤍💙 3y
ravenlee What a great scarf! I knitted myself a crazy scrap-yarn scarf in college and it‘s 10 feet long and almost 2 feet wide. One of the guys in my dorm called me Scarf Girl that year. 😆 But it‘s great to wrap up in when it‘s really cold. 3y

Wonderful ending to this out-of-this-world adventure. Culture clash and betrayal to a girl who"just wants to be."

#BookReport @Cinfhen

Completed Barracoon, A Place at the Table, and Leaving Coy's Hill.

#WeeklyForecast I know it is far-fetched, but this is what I want - Focus on finishing #ReadHarder2021 with these three.

Finish The Night Masquerade #SciFiSeptember @Roary47 @Littlewolf1 #BBRC #Afrofuturism @LibrarianRyan

Begin Abducted #BuddyRead with @Andrew65 @EadieB @AnneCecilie

Listening to A Killer in King's Cove #newyearwhodis

EadieB Great list! 3y
Cinfhen I really loved this book, even though it was brutal at times 3y
TiredLibrarian @Butterfinger Agree with @Cinfhen - This might be my favorite nonfic read of the year; really well written and researched, but very disturbing at times. Also loved Lost Girls by this author. 3y
Cinfhen We read it for bookclub @TiredLibrarian and it was one of our best discussions ever. Our group who rarely agrees was unanimous about Hidden Valley being a 5 star read. It was perfectly researched and written 3y
LibrarianRyan nice! 3y

Finally posting my #BookspinBingo board for September. Taken me almost 2 weeks, sorry. I‘ve hit four spaces already so far, hopefully there‘ll be more to come. There‘s a nice percentage of #SciFiSeptember books to #LittensDressedInBlood reads & also my usual #FreeSpaces My #Bookspin book is #AnAudiobook & my #Doublespin is GreenMars. How‘s your month looking so far?

MidnightBookGirl I like that you have so many Free Spaces- always a good idea for readers who are more pantsers than plotters! 3y
TheAromaofBooks Yay!!! Looks great!! 3y
Lizpixie @MidnightBookGirl I‘m too much of a mood reader, I make lists & plans, then don‘t read any of them! There‘s more of a chance of me sticking to a challenge if I have a lot of alternatives. 3y

Bk4 of September, Bk13 of #LittensDressedInBlood & Bk2 of #AnyWayYouReadathon is done. And so is the last readathon! It‘s now the 13th here in Sydney, and I only managed 1 of my 3 goals😞. I only read 2 books instead of 3, neither of which was a #SciFiSeptember book but I read more than 20hrs🙌 At least I‘ve added Bk1 to this weeks #SuperSeptember #readathon & one more book down in my WOT reread. #ChunksterChallenge #ReadItAgainSam #BookspinBingo

Lizpixie I really need to replace my poor original paperbacks! Especially the tagged book, duct tape is the only thing holding it together.🤦🏻‍♀️ 3y
EadieB @Lizpixie Great reading as always for you! Your reading time is amazing! Enjoy the rest of your reading during the readathons you are participating in! 3y
TheAromaofBooks I have some books like that, too 😂 I know I need to replace them, but there's almost some kind of good magic or something stored up in copies I've read again & again & it's hard to imagine reading it in a different version!! 3y

Eggbeater Great reading time! You did great! 🎉 3y
Lizpixie @EadieB @Eggbeater thank you! It‘s not as if I have anything else to do, no kids at home, shops closed & going into Month3 of lockdown. Readings the only thing keeping me sane🤪 3y
Lizpixie @TheAromaofBooks I have few books that have lasted the moving and upheavals of the last 40+yrs, this series, the Magician trilogy by Raymond Feist, his Daughter of the Empire trilogy, the Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever series by Stephen Donaldson, some Anne McCaffreys & Dame Agathas, a few more, the rest are from the last 15yrs or so. I‘m planning on retiring my original WOT to a nice shelf in the library & buy the anniversary editions as released 3y
EadieB @Lizpixie Your lockdown sounds a bit excessive! Thank goodness for your books 📚 I would go crazy 😜 too if I ran out of books to read! 3y
Lizpixie @EadieB I‘m very much looking forward to October, hopefully restrictions will have lifted by then. I understand why we had it but it‘s been very difficult, especially with my family problems the last few months. I‘ve never been happier to be a reader, I think I would‘ve completely lost the plot without books. #readingismysuperpower (edited) 3y
EadieB @Lizpixie Hope your lockdown has worked. We have been told get vaxed or lose your job. There‘s a big revolt happening in US where people are quitting their jobs instead of losing their right to chose what they want to do about vaccinating. 3y

Here‘s my wishful thinking list for #SuperSeptember #readathon A bit over confident but there‘s a choice between #SciFiSeptember books, #LittensDressedInBlood reads & a few more of my WOT rereads. My goals are:
📚Read 5 books
⏱Read for 48hrs
❌Cross off a few reads for each challenge.

My thoughts & prayers to our usual fearless reader @Andrew65 in his battle with covid & welcome to our interim leader @EadieB

Lizpixie Oh, that‘s my current time for both #AnyWayYouReadathon & #SuperSeptember minus 7hrs. 3y
EadieB @Lizpixie Thanks for participating! Good luck with you goals! 3y
tpixie I‘m so glad where you live provides a COVID pack with an oximeter! If you check out Andrew65 2nd to last post, I sent a list of recommendations that might be helpful for your daughter with COVID…. 💚💙💚 3y
