Evie is given an unwanted promotion when she needs to pretend to be Aveda Jupiter, San Francisco‘s only superhero, while Aveda recovers from an injury. No sweat, if only the invading demons would stop evolving, her sister would follow directions, & her grumpy coworker stopped looking so hot.
This was so much fun! Made me LOL! A love letter to pop culture & superheroes, but also about identity, family, emotional honesty, & explosions. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
Very different genre for me- I am enjoying my foray into YA Science fiction.Themes of classism, sexism,Chinese culture/social history(concubines, bound feet, etc.) Chinese philosophy, ying& yang, qi (life force)…fast paced, not always sure who to trust…
Apologies to my group- I have just finished another book so two will be coming your way Christine!
Finished this month‘s #LMPBC pick for #Round13 #GroupP which was also my #BookSpin book this month.
Great pick! It took me a couple chapters to get into this, but once I did I couldn‘t put it down. It still has 2 readers to go, so I don‘t want to give anything away. I‘ll get it in the mail later this week.
Hurray! The Glass Hotel has been on my tbr forever! I loved Station Eleven. Looking forward to this one!
Thanks @Littlewolf1 ! Hope life calms down its attack a little and you find some moments to catch your breath soon, my friend. *hugs*
