My nephews, 2 & 4, are getting (mostly) bug books. If I can‘t fully conquer my own fear, I can at least inoculate the next generation. 😅

Books are being paired with some Lakeshore Learning toys, including an updated version of one of those old school viewmasters! They can click between 35 different photos of insects and spiders. 🕷️🐛🦋

This picture book can engage students in discussions about perspectives in stories and whether they think that they would like to be kept as a pet.

Picture book. The composition and sketched design of this book helps to create a warm atmosphere in the bears' home. The wooden backgrounds behind the pages make the book seem vintage, a callback to the classic tale of a child finding a wild animal and attempting to keep it as a pet. This witty book follows a bear and her newly found pet, a human boy.

I colored this picture on one of my coloring apps and wrote this story about it.

Came across this pic today of my sweet Babs, a greyhound we adopted back in 2005. She's been gone since 2016, but I still can shed a tear just looking at her pictures. How she loved that Lamb Chop. 🤎🐾🤎

So many of you provided kind words of condolence on the loss of Kili, I lost track. Thank you all. It‘s one of the things I love about this community.

It was strange to get up this morning and not have a cat to feed. I bundled up his food and donated it to the county shelter, but I‘m keeping the treats. They‘re good for another year! When the time is right, I expect the CDS to do its thing.

I enjoyed watching the neighbor's dog playing this morning. Missed my photo opportunity, so this is a web photo.
