Wow!! Just Wow!! This is such an amazing book, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to read it. I was wary of all the hype and Litsy love, but it was spot-on. I loved all the characters and the wonderful world building. 5 💥💥💥💥💥

A lovely story about life being bigger than you are but trusting in the process. This book was written about the small islands where Brown had a home in Maine. Leonard Weisgard's beautiful paintings are a must see. ❤ #BBRC #LetterL

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Sounds good...stacked! 3mo
IamIamIam @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Enjoy!! Knowing that it was written about a place Brown loved and had experienced love and loss that inspired this book really makes it more powerful. It's beautifully illustrated! ❤ 3mo

"L" is for Library | Sonya Terry

The second half of my picture book library venture! This took care of letters L, N, O, P, Q, V and Z! So many gems here and all of these made me smile in one way or another. What I liked about L is for Library in particular was it taught about the different aspects of a library in a way that kids would understand and enjoy. Other books tagged in comments. #bbrc #a2z #picturebooks

Shakespearience I have been on a princess kick, so this was a nice little subversion of what is expected of princesses/girls. I loved it! 5mo
Shakespearience This book takes the phrase “If it looks like a duck...” and turns it on its head. Probably my favorite read today and it was VERY cute! 5mo
Shakespearience Cute dinosaur adventure! 5mo

Shakespearience This one was okay...mainly read it for a ‘z‘ book and liked that it had two sisters. 5mo
Shakespearience The other book that made my heart melt today. So cute! And Otter gets to be a teacher too. Who wouldn‘t want an otter for a teacher? 5mo
Shakespearience This one had fun facts alongside the fiction. Cute, educational and funny! 5mo
RachelO That looks like a very successful library trip! 5mo

Not as eye-rolling as I thought it would be so this was between a Pick and a so-so for me.
She has her view point and even though I do not think I will be implementing all of them, I am trying to keep an open mind and try it "her way" to curb the hoarder in me. ?
Filing this under "Something Written by a POC".

License to Quill | Jacopo della Quercia

William Shakespeare and Kit Marlowe as secret agents foiling the Gunpowder plot. Macbeth is written and the Dark Lady is revealed. Quite the undertaking but this made for an excellent read in trying to puzzle out how the author Jacopo della Quercia (helluva nom de plume) would weave all those threads together. My favorite homage to the spy genre was a scene reminiscent of Bond and Q, but instead featured Shakespeare and Francis Bacon. Do read!

WanderingBookaneer @BookishMarginalia might like this one! 7mo

LOVED this book. Fast paced, kept me guessing. Loved every minute of it. If you‘re a fan of Altered Carbon (the show, haven‘t read the book yet) you‘ll love this. Also a great choice for a #24in48 or a #24B4Mon challenge.

So I‘ve already started in on my next #LitsyAtoZ book for #letterL and I‘m hooked. Never been one for thrillers or mystery but I do love me some dystopian societies. And I love the idea that “words could kill”. Great read so far and I‘m LOVING how the author paints this story. It‘s like I can see how the movie would play in my head. Also loving this quote.

Mehso-so

For some reason I was expecting more horror. Some of the stories were creepy, though. I liked the title story and The Faery Handbag best. The Cinderella Game was probably the creepiest one of the lot, I think. Link has an interesting way of writing that took a while to get used to.

I got this book from @Marmie7 from #halloweengoespostal 2017 - thanks!
