Completely heartbreaking. Generational and cyclic drug abuse, feelings of inadequacy, early parental deaths. It just breaks your heart to learn about Lisa Marie's troubles and how she tried so hard to become a better, hands-on parent.
You have to appreciate someone who becomes vulnerable by allowing scrutiny and criticism from fans and the press when all their lives they tried to stay away from the limelight.
pickThe ending! I‘m really making myself wait a little bit to read the 3rd book because I‘m seriously hooked.

pickAnother fun fluff read. I liked the characters and the touch of humor in a few scenes that made the book so much fun. I also liked the bit of drama and thought it worked well in this one. I ploughed through this book quickly and will definitely read the next book in this series. 4 ⭐

pickPucking Wild is the second book in the Jacksonville Rays series about a team of NHL hockey players. Enjoyed this and devoured it in two days despite a 603 page count. In this installment Dina is asked to allow her inn to be the location of a tricky peace summit. The cook is a new character and I‘m glad it appears he will be a new addition to the inn. I will definitely be giving the third one a go. My library has several of the books as a full cast audio which I loved.

pickI really like Lauren Graham, so this was a wonderful audiobook. She talks about life, family, friendships, love, her acting career, the show Parenthood, and of course Gilmore Girls. I'm looking forward to listening to more of her books!

pickThe tender love story between Achilles and Patroclus was inspiring and lovely. At times, I found myself thinking these things really happened, as if it was written as historical fiction. Did Thetis, Apollo, and Artemis really involve themselves in everyday lives? Then, my conscious mind returned to reality. I completely forgot that they were characters of Homer. That is powerful writing.
Ms. Miller, hurry and get better.
