My husband isn‘t a big reader, so looking for recommendations that a non reader would like!

Genres would probably be mystery or fantasy (like LOTR but not boring) ☺️

This was the coolest thing ever. The town next to me had massive flooding several years in a row. They decided to move the library to higher ground. The route they had to take, the corners they had to turn, the bridge they had to go over….and they did it. Check out this video of the move.

“Midnights with you". The title conjures romantic walks under the stars. The reality of this book is messy people trying to survive messy relationships. It is full of angst and angry and tense. It is sad and sweet and hopeful. While I felt the late version of the teens was a bit too emotionally aware for what they had gone through and the support systems they had, it was still a great story. Trigger warnings: verbal and emotional abuse

I‘ve read a couple of these books with my niece, so I knew I was going to pick this duo for #2peasinapod

The illustrations throughout the book made the story very enjoyable and added more humor to the story.

Theodore Seuss Geisel Honor and Two-time Newbery Medal, published 2006. This is a silly story that‘s good for older grades. It‘s exciting and thrilling with lots of laughter involved. The illustrations also excite the reader and keeps them engaged.

“Is that pig… behind the wheel?” The picture that goes along with it makes it that much better. The pure joy and fun in her face while she‘s doing something not good makes me laugh so hard. It is a reminder to enjoy life (not necessarily the illegal things).
