I don‘t think I ever read a 500 pages book in a day before. So this book definitely pulled me in. It‘s got a scary premise: attacks in the Middle East lead to a halt in oil production worldwide, with devastating effects. Humanity disappears within days: everywhere there are riots and fights and looting. I wanted to read on and that‘s why I give it a pick but honestly, it wasn‘t that good and the ending was disappointing. #Roll100

squirrelbrain It sounded like it might be one worth stacking….until the end of your review. 🤷‍♀️ 11mo
Librarybelle A shame that the ending is disappointing, but that‘s amazing about reading a 500 page book in a day! 11mo
Cinfhen Wowza! I haven‘t read a 500 page book in a day in FOREVER. Too bad it didn‘t end on a high note. 11mo
Cortg Wow! 500 pages! I‘m a super slow reader. Bummer it didn‘t end well. 11mo

#chunkstermini #chunksterchallenge2023 completed! @Amiable

#alliterativetitle (well, subtitle but I'm counting it) #pop23 #52bookclub2023 @Cinfhen (I don't recommend this one for you - I think it would be a bail! 😂) @BarbaraBB @Librarybelle @RaeLovesToRead @Deblovestoread @squirrelbrain @BarbaraTheBibliophage @LeeRHarry @MissHel

It's a pick for me, because it's provided me with some useful research notes, but it's DEFINITELY challenging.

Amiable Yay! 🎉👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💃🏻🕺 12mo

squirrelbrain Great review! I started this when it was rumoured for the Booker (I think) but put it to one side; I may try again some time. 13mo

Kiddo wasn‘t a fan, but I found it pretty good. Probably what didn‘t appeal to her is what I liked: it starts slowly, and it feels a little like something‘s missing until the secrets start to come out. I loved how Sunny found herself through comic books and a new friend. The cats were great and I liked Big Al. I‘ll get around to the others at some point. #52Books23 #alliterativetitle

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super helpful guide through each Walt Disney World park, pointing out lesser known tidbits, history, Hidden Mickeys, and other general tips for navigating a well-rounded visit. Loved the organization and definitely learned a few things. Jotted several notes for our upcoming trip! 🏰🐭✨

Not sure if this really counts as an #alliterativetitle since there are some non-S words in the middle, but it was one of my favorite books from all of last year, so I thought it was close enough... #marchintoreading
