Megabooks @Cinfhen the whole book is not in Ghana, but stela does study abroad there for part of it, which really affects the rest of the book. So it depends on how strict you are with it. 2y

This is my #mirrorimage. The books are close. Gifts from two wonderful Litens. The Mirror is literally a trash find. It was sitting beside the road. I've had it for years and about 2 years ago I finally decided to do something with it. It was originally gold. I tried painting it white and it was so ugly. It glows in black. It is currently covered in a few layers of dust as it just came out of the garage. #magicalmarch

The Hobbit | J.R.R. Tolkien

Secret shame: I've only read The Hobbit. I've had this collection since I was 13 and they're much older than that even, having once belonged to my dad. Maybe one day I'll get through Fellowship, but my god the singing 😑

Bkwrm7 I have been halfway through The Two Towers for.....about 10 years now? So I feel you on this! At this point I feel like I would need to start the whole trilogy over to remember what's going on. Maybe someday, but there's so many other books out there.... 6y

CatLass007 I recommend the audiobooks. The narrator is wonderful and he brings these books alive! Even the singing. 6y

elizabethlk I lovelovelove the Hobbit, but I read all three LOTR books as a kid, and just didn't enjoy them the same way (despite loving the movies). Planning on doing a re-read since it has been a long time, but they're really different from the Hobbit in some ways. 6y

emtobiasz Seconding the audiobooks-- listening to them on road trips was how my boyfriend and I finally finished Fellowship! Course, we never did finish books 2 and 3, so.... 6y

#MirrorImage #MagicalMarch - I bought this one without even reading the blurb just because of the author. Gavin Extence wrote The Universe Versus Alex Woods which is a book I absolutely loved! The polar bear is just because of all the snow we‘ve been having - plus I love all types of bears 🐻 ! 🌨⛄️❄️

Maguire is hit or miss with me. I love to read well known fairy tales told from different points of view and Maguire often does that with creativity. However, it can be such a chore to wade through his layers of symbolism.

LibrarianRyan @mrp27 I love that most of his books have an undercover. It's like a secret to the story. What the dickens didn't and it one of his better stories. Still literary but written for kids and way more approachable.
