Ok #hashtagbrigade here is our 2026 schedule! A chapter a day for all but the Count of Monte Cristo. Since the chapters are shorter, we will do 3 a day. Anna Karenina is our very first #hashtagbrigadesidequest and we will start her on February 1, a chapter a day, alongside whatever other books we are reading at the time. I‘ll post again in December to see who wants to read Shirley!

Quick question for the #hashtagbrigade
The votes are still coming in, but the top 2 right now are both chunksters. How do we feel about that? The tagged book will take almost 4 months to read a chapter a day, and Anna Karenina has 239 chapters! Would everyone be willing to do Anna Karenina alongside whatever other books we are reading? Maybe start it in February as its on buddy read? Thoughts? Ideas?

SamAnne I‘d be fine with that! Both are on my TBR for 2026 so I will be reading both anyway. 2mo

JacqMac That works for me. I always read them alongside my other books anyway. 2mo

Ruthiella I think a bonus read along would work….otherwise we end up reading only two books in one year as a group! 😜 But that said, I‘ve already read AK and probably won‘t participate either way. 2mo

dabbe I'm not sure how long the chapters are in these chunksters, but if they're short, we could read more than one chapter a day as well. I'd be happy to help plan that out (similar in a way to how we read BRIDESHEAD REVISITED). I've read AK and will probably sit that one out, but count me in for the count! 😍 2mo

quietjenn I also support the idea of side quests, although as has been noted you are doing the bulk of the work so I trust you! Will likely skip Anna ... 2mo

jenniferw88 @dabbe some Count chapters are longer than others, if I remember correctly. @BarkingMadRead count me in for the main ones (possibly), but I'll sit Count & Anna out, as I've read them before. 2mo

Clare-Dragonfly I don‘t mind taking a long time to read books (as long as they‘re out of copyright and I can get a free download. I‘m unlikely to want to read two #hashtagbrigade books at a time. 2mo

lil1inblue I love the side quest idea! I'm not 100% sure yet on either - it will kind of depend on some other challenges. 2mo

Tineke I want to read Anna Karenina, and want to read along. I'll follow along as long as I can do both books ( if there's a book next to it). Otherwise I'll drop one. 2mo
