Just one: THE NIGHT WATCHMAN. Lots of 4s this year, but only one 5. I'm a bit surprised by that. 😯

I loved this story and I cry on some point. It was so emotional and heart-breaking.

Colleen knows how to write a great story!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've read this in February for #doublebookspin @TheAromaofBooks

The face is a person's identity, what if that face becomes an object of ridicule and bias? Read my review of an excellent middle-grade novel: Wonder by R.J.Palacio. Different doesn't mean undeserving.

Year: 2010
Decided to take a look back at what my 5 star reads were since I started keeping track of my reading. Can't believe that I read these books a decade ago. The Shadow of the Wind remains one of my all-time favorite reads.

Cathythoughts I remember loving Shadow of the Wind too 👍🏻❤️ 4y
Lillie @Cathythoughts have you read the other books in the series? Saw that a fourth came out last year. Once my libraries reopen I‘m going to put it on hold. So excited 😃 4y

#backpackeurope wrapup continued:
Here are all of my #5starreads from the challenge!
7 or 8 were rereads from long ago. The Eliza Watson one was most fun, French had the best thriller, the last three I the bottom row were saddest, Cusk and Knausgaard stuck with me for a while, Levithan I stayed up late reading, and I leaned most from Larson.
Shout-out to Elif Shafak, who was a new discovery for me, but whose books earned 4 🌟. Very solid writer.

I wasn't really sure on this one since it is a third in a series and I'm not really one for detective novels, but I was hooked! I didn't even feel like I was missing much for not reading the previous books. I'll be keeping an eye out for more. Also...I'm pretty sure Claire DeWitt is my spirit animal.....minus the drug addiction 😄

I loved this book! It wasn't really science fiction-y and wasn't really thriller-y (those are legit genre descriptions now) but still managed to keep me hooked. Very well written and I kicked myself for not getting the ending! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for me!

#5starreads Thanks for the tag @Smrloomis ! Here's 4 off my real-life bookshelves and I'm also looking forward to The Pool House by Tasmina Perry that's been well reviewed in the press this weekend but is still on my imaginary shelf....
