The Foxhole Court (All for the Game) (Volume 1)
The Foxhole Court (All for the Game) (Volume 1) | Nora Sakavic
Neil Josten is the newest addition to the Palmetto State University Exy team. Hes short, hes fast, hes got a ton of potential and hes the runaway son of the murderous crime lord known as The Butcher. Signing a contract with the PSU Foxes is the last thing a guy like Neil should do. The team is high profile and he doesnt need sports crews broadcasting pictures of his face around the nation. His lies will hold up only so long under this kind of scrutiny and the truth will get him killed. But Neils not the only one with secrets on the team. One of Neils new teammates is a friend from his old life, and Neil cant walk away from him a second time. Neil has survived the last eight years by running. Maybe hes finally found someone and something worth fighting for.

I thought this was going to be #romantsy and it wasn‘t. It‘s about a fake sport that is a hybrid of lacrosse, soccer and ice hockey, being on the run from the mafia & a whole lotta dysfunctional college students. It has a sort of cliffhanger ending. I‘m curious to see where book two goes. 🥍🥍🥍🥍

I love this book series! The characters that Salavic creates are so vivid and I love them all so much (even Riko). I'm so happy that these are becoming audiobooks. I feel like that fit the format well because they tend to be fast paced. I highly recommend for anyone that likes mafia stories. #favorite #mafia #audiobook

How I am personally feeling towards Neil Josten right now after finishing the foxhole court he truly is too precious for this world. Also why have I started three book series one after the other when I start back at uni soon, 😅 why am I like this? Seriously though I‘m doing the same with Tv shows, it‘s a problem. Oh well I loved this book though 4/5 ⭐️

My first venture into ebooks, finally accepted I don‘t have the space to physically own all the books I read it‘s especially useful for genres such as thrillers which I‘m unlikely to re-read. I also feel encouraged to try a few biographies and nonfiction that I wouldn‘t typically buy, excited to get into a few of these and and am really enjoying the foxhole court and the first book is free on kindle so can‘t complain so far.

OMFG I only got this book cuz it was free and goodreads was putting it all over my recommendations so I thought why not.. less than a week later and I‘m addicted to this series. The story is not a masterpiece but I just love those crazy ass characters so much!! Andrew looks and feels like one of my original charas so extra soft spot for that psycho midget 😍😅 already on book 2 now ✌🏻

This was such a fantastic book! There were definitely parts that felt completely unrealistic, but a book about college sports + the mafia + wonderful characters who are also kind of terrible people? Sign me up.

2017 was not a good reading year. It was the biggest reading rut of my entire life. 4 books all year & 2 were rereads. My writing suffered. However! I'm already almost finished with my first book of 2018 & I intend to set aside a dollar for every book I read this year, at the end of 2018 I will take the money I've saved to buy even more books & I've resolved to make this the year I finish the first draft of my novel! I have big plans for this year

I'm so sad about this. This series has such a huge following, but the first book left me so unsatisfied. Too many questions and plot holes left open and it ended so abruptly with nothing tied up (and not in the exciting cliffhanger way). I was more confused than blown away. I don't know. Gonna attempt the second book. We'll see. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How I love those books. They basically need a trigger warning for everything because all the characters had horrible stuff to deal with. But they're all so cute and need to be protected at all costs. Shipping Andreil forever

Man, I blew through this series this weekend! Books 1 & 2 rounded out my #pantslessreadathon on Monday, then I spent my evening yesterday and today on Book 3. There are a LOT of triggers in these books centered around all kinds of violence, but they're also solid sports novels centered on teamwork and redemption.

#aprilbookshowers #badcovergoodbook :
The All for the Game series by Nora Sakavic: I didn't really know what I was getting into, only that I'd seen a lot of people loved these on tumblr. What I got was a mob-thriller-runaway-story-romance-sports story, and I devoured all three over two days. I even remember reading them on my phone from my desk at work. As an artist, though....these covers......😩

This plot was mostly completely absurd and unrealistic while remaining in a realistic world (not my favorite) and sort of feels like a weird ripped off version of The Secret History. AND YET I am beyond easy to please. It's not great, but I'm addicted to this odd short series. ⭐️: 3/5

FictionFox It makes me happy to see another so-so review on this. The series has such a huge following but the first book just left me so....meh? Unsatisfied? Confused? Going to attempt the second one and see if it fills any of the gaps for me. I'm also terribly easy to please though so who knows, maybe I'll end up obsessed. 2y

I'm new on this platform so obviously my first post/review had to be of The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic. This series is my entire life.
It follows Neil Josten as he joins the Palmetto Foxes to play Exy on a college team. But his past don't make things quite as simple.
Have you read this series?

The whole aftg series was a great easy-read. Like so great that I read all three instalments in two days.

The plot was well-paced throughout the entire series so there was never a point where it seemed to drag. Also, THE. 👏🏼 CHARACTER. 👏🏼 DEVELOPMENT. 👏🏼

Ughhhh allergies have been killing me all day - and ofc I get them the first week at my new job! Settling into a hot bath and a comfort reread. And yes, I'm aware this is one of the books that I listed as one that always makes me cry but they're sooooo good. ❤️❤️

BookishFeminist Feel better ❤️ Allergies suck. I sneeze for a solid 3 months in the spring here. I sink into sad or dark things when I'm not feeling well so I don't blame you there! 3y

#FunFridayPhoto: Sports!

This one was easy for me. Never have I read a book (trilogy) with sports involved that I loved more than the All For the Game trilogy. The sport is Exy, think indoor lacrosse turned up to 1000% with the intensity/violence of Hockey. It's a made up sport but Sakovic makes it feel real. And the Foxes are pretty unforgettable.

So I read this whole trilogy over 2 days and I cannot process this at all!! I found it really angsty at times and it was so much darker than I was led to believe but holy crap I cannot stop thinking about it. I am extremely tempted to just reread the whole series again right now😁

CaitlinSiem I loved this trilogy so. Much. And as someone who isn't a big reader of self-pub it blew me away. I even have fan art on my walls from this series now and the background on my phone home screen is Andrew 😂 3y

Devoured this in not too many hours. Dark and twisty in all the right ways, delicious angst, heartbreak. It took a few chapters to really get a read on the characters and the imagined game that's the focus here, but once it got rolling I couldn't stop.

CaitlinSiem *throws confetti* HOORAY! I'm so glad you liked it! It just keeps getting crazier, so make sure to buckle up for the rest of this crazy ride 😜 4y
Yamich49 👆Ditto to what @CaitlinSiem said. It's just keeps getting crazier and better with each book. But be careful, the book withdrawal when you're done is harsh. 4y

This series is AMAZING. This first one is pretty good - although it's a pretty dark series overall. All of the characters are complex and the author makes you love almost all of them, flaws and all. If you loved the beautifully damaged characters in the Raven Cycle books, you'll love these ones.

TFC was almost as twisty and entertaining as the characters (Exy, the invented sport, is nothing short of intense). This bunch is insanely screwed up and I quickly became emotional attached to them all. The Foxes gripped tight and I have no intention of ever leaving them.
