I'm really enjoying The Wicked and the Divine. I love it when you get a couple book references in another book. Ananke evidently inspired Robert Graves to write The White Goddess and Cassandra is a China Mieville fan.

#AbbaInAugust #DoesYourMotherKnow The White Goddess ... the great mother. I had this book up before , she has survived Harry puppy dog , & has had a few dips in the bath. She is cellotaped together ... and she is still with us 💫 She looks old & battered , but she is beautiful & full of infinite wisdom

It‘s hubbys obsession really ... and he is not a reader ( as such ) ... the only reason it‘s in any kind of order is because I look after it for him. He is not into possessing or minding anything. He lives in his imagination... great for songs ❤️👍🏻💫 6y

laurieluna Time for a ban on books in the bath I think. If I'm reading a book in the bath, the moment I feel myself drifting that book is put straight on the draws next to the bath. I would be more upset dropping one of them in than my phone 😂 6y

Did one of those "screencap to discover" things this morning. I don't do new year resolutions, but I do believe in starting the new calendar looking for clarity and inspiration in my life. Themis, best known as the embodiment of Justice for the old Greeks, also represents divine order, natural law, social folk-ways, and the will of the gods as revealed by an omen. If that doesn't describe me to a T.....
