@dabbe Denise, I have sent you a birthday card twice, I'm pretty sure I have your correct address, but in case I don't, could you email it to me at liseworks7@hotmail.com . It came back with this sticker again.

 @Karisimo.
I read this one 3 years ago for middle grade March: Award Winners Edition.

Two powerful novels about immigration, both highly recommended.
4⭐ Return to Sender 2006 Vermont
When the family farm is on the verge of collapse they decide to hire undocumented workers from Mexico.
4.5⭐ Esperanza Rising 1930s Mexico/California
Tragedy strikes a wealthy family in Mexico. They are forced to flee with their servants to California. Now they are poor migrant workers during the Dust Bowl.

Omg my Panera delivers to your table now! #livingthedream #itsthelittlethings #selfcare #wellnesswednesday

Waiting for my hair to dry, so obviously I should read. Enjoying this so far, not my usual read.
Courtney, would you mind dropping me an email at robinb.litsy@gmail.com? I have a question for you. Thanks! 😊

Currently working on reading some books centered around social justice issues so I have some good recs to give my students when school starts back up in a few weeks!

Vermont is blessed to have Julia Alvarez as a long-time resident of the state. She read a story today about undocumented workers in Vermont that she‘s written for an anthology of Vermont writers. She also spent a good deal of time answering questions with great insight and passion. During the reading I looked around and found I was not the only one with tears in their eyes. A writer with a great big heart. #vermont

Not a lot of time for personal reading this month, but my students are reading my favorite author so it's not all bad! #teacherlife #defenddaca #diversereading

How I justify totally unnecessary and indulgent book purchases:
"Well one is a kid's book and one is on sale, so it really isn't that much!"
What I should be doing is returning these to the store and tackling my already out of control TBR

I'm sitting in a city council meeting where my city may or may not adopt an "Inclusive City" statement. In Northwest Oregon, farm and wine country, immigrants are a very important part of our economy. More than that, their diversity is something that our community needs. We are all better for it.
Last year I read this story of an immigrant child whose mother is deported. It was heartbreaking, beautiful, and important.

Why can I not delete this e-mail? It keeps coming back.
Am I in a science fiction time travel story where the hero is frantically trying to warn me of something from a New Years Eve party in late 1969, but her repeated failures change the timeline making the e-mail empty?
Or is it an iPhone glitch?
