How was the end of the week? I achieved all my aims on a very busy day today. Exhausted at the end of another week. Hopefully get sone rest this weekend but waiting sone test results on a member of staff and a child in one bubble. If either come back positive with be another very busy work weekend!

#DailyCheckIn

TheBookHippie I forget remote screen time tires one ... headache 😩 but we‘re all safe and healthy this far. Sending light!!!! 3y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Hope you recover from it quickly. I‘m a convert to having children in school, especially the young ones, even with high rates of cases and risk to adults. 3y

kezzlou85 Heres hoping its negative test results. Been a good day here. Sorting things out and hunting out Christmas decorations. Eldest has agreed we can put them up next week for her sister. 3y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 🤞🤞🤞🤞 3y
TheSpineView Praying all tests are negative! Busy day with chores around the house. Though I did get in 5 hours of audio book time so far todsy. 3y
TheBookHippie @Andrew65 our little ones are in through next week then home until December 8 primarily because too many teachers sick or quarantined 😩 I agree the littles need to stay in school as much as possible 3y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I had a quiet day in the office. The new branch of the company is making their own newsletter and our sales team has to fill out a section each week. Since it's short notice, one lady suggested a cute poem and I volunteered to do a graphic to go with it. I probably spent too much time on it, but I had fun putting it together & look forward to seeing our section stand out. (I'm optimistic that it will be the hughlight.)😁 3y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @TheBookHippie Would a pair of glasses that filter out blue light be helpful? 3y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick They are very lucky to have you! 3y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Even at our worst rates (1055 cases per 100,000 in last seven days) we have had enough staff. Although very tight for a couple of weeks in equivalent of Kindergarten. (edited) 3y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView That‘s great. Hopefully negative but both in same class 🤞🤞🤞 3y
TheBookHippie @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick actually I was just trying to figure that out !! I got it in my sons prescription should have in mine! I think they them for over glasses! 3y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @TheBookHippie I'm not sure if you'd need a prescription or can put them over yours, like a clip on, but I saw them mentioned in an article yesterday so they're on my mind. 3y
TheBookHippie @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I added them to my sons new prescription along with glare scratch etc and there is a HUGE difference in his tiredness. My daughter wears them as non prescription at work says it‘s amazing so I‘m looking for something to fit over else I very well may order a pair as we may be virtual learning quite a while 😩😩 3y
CocoReads Not a bad day. I didn‘t work. Went to the store and got food for tgiving, hubs went to the meat market and got 30 lbs of chicken that we repackaged for the freezer. Did. Couple other chore type things and then ordered dinner out. Work the next few days so hopefully we stay healthy. 3y

IamIamIam Not a great mental health week but I don't really want to whine while people are having legitimate issues. Best to everyone today 4y

TheBookHippie Numbers climb -I try not to freak out -that‘s the theme .. however son doing beautifully in new school so we are basking in that. 4y
BookwormM Another holiday day spent at home reading brief walk to chemist to break the day up and swapped clothes to winter wardrobe 🤣🤣 4y
Lynnsoprano Quiet day here. Long walk in the morning, splurged on a wonderful takeaway lunch. Wishing peace and calm for everyone. @IamIamIam , hugs. We all need support, that‘s what makes this #dailycheckin so wonderful. Thank you, @Andrew65 for continuing to do this and brightening each day with beautiful pictures. Hope you get your reading time. 4y
kezzlou85 Been lovely to see the sunshine. We put the dogs ashes in a wishing well planter in the garden. Looks really nice, right in his favourite spot. 4y
JanuarieTimewalker13 I‘m tired, need blood. But I did eat outdoors (safely) and brought my friend food too. Sometimes even when you feel like hell, you still have to try to do some good. She was so happy and that made me happy. Now it‘s 3:43 pm and I feel like I can sleep forever. Oh, and a stink bug has adopted my home. Normally I transport them outside. But I‘m too tired. Lol so I named him Stan. He‘s so loud when he flies. 4y
TheSpineView Good day so far. Just doing some mindless stuff at work and listening to an audiobook. Can't wait to get off and enjoy the beautiful weather. I am going to get some outside work done before it gets dark. 4y
CocoReads Weather good, sick co worker back, still sick but at least wearing her mask and we disinfected behind her. She‘s off tomorrow because it‘s her weekend to work so even though it‘ll be another 10 hour day, I‘ll be relieved she‘s getting another day of rest. Not sure how she dodged triggering the survey to make her get tested but she does seem to be bulletproof. 😬😡 4y
CBee @IamIamIam your issues are also valid and legitimate ❤️ I‘m sorry you‘re struggling. Know that a lot of folks here care! 4y
CBee I wish I could hire someone to do virtual school for my kiddos. I feel terrible at it. And it got HOT here again today. Ugh. Wasps and stink bugs out in full force! But - all will be well ❤️ 4y
TrishB @IamIamIam sending hugs ❤️ we all have legitimate issues. 4y
TrishB Ok day. Given my last couple of weeks, it feels like a success to say that. 4y
tracey38 Gorgeous pictures as always. Rough work day but glad we're almost to the weekend. Thinking of everyone. 💛💛💛 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Mostly busy work today in the office so I was able to listen to a few hours of Dracula. Motivation to do actual work is low this week. I keep finding the stupid projects that need to get done sometime, but aren't really important, and doing them. 4y

Today the wonderfully named Lusty Glaze Beach. #VirtualTour

How has Wednesday been. Good to get some normal tasks today. Met with the maths leadership team to develop strategy and discussed how we monitored within school when we can‘t go into bubbles. Also wrote to parents and discussed some vulnerable children and how we met their needs and helped them to make progress. ALMOST felt like normal times!

#DailyCheckIn

CocoReads Went to work. Still 3 ish hours to go. Went in at 9 am-finally got to sit down about 2:30 for lunch. Here til 7 but it mercifully seems to have tapered off a bit. 4y
Andrew65 Long days, look after yourself. 😊 4y

Lynnsoprano An on-the-go day. Routine visit with the doctor, then we took our completed ballots to the elections office to deposit the drop box. Glad to have that done. Still got in a 2 mile walk. 4y
Andrew65 @Lynnsoprano Wow! A very productive day. 😍 4y
TheSpineView Awesome that you are having some normal days. Normal day with me also. I did manage to get a little reading in a work. I was able to finish another book. I am headed home to see if I can finish one more tonight. 4y
DieAReader @Andrew65 Any tips on how to teleport through to these beautiful destinations? These pics are always so inviting & I‘d love to get lost in them (...sighs dreamily)🥰 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView I‘m trying to finish an audiobook book and a NetGalley review book tonight. (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @Squidget One of the most beautiful coastal locations in the U.K. if you work out how to teleport then let me know. (edited) 4y
TheSpineView @Andrew65 Good luck! 🤞 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView You too. 👍 (edited) 4y
CocoReads @Andrew65 trying too-working same shift tomorrow. These 10 hours days are depressingly becoming the norm. 4y
DieAReader @Andrew65 It‘s definitely a secret I‘d share!😉 4y
kezzlou85 Yeah been an okay day. Not too much to report really. Parted with the last of the dogs bits today which was hard but healing. 4y
BookwormM Steady work day which was good got some projects moving forward. Week off next week hurray . Also keep thinking today is Thursday then being really disappointed when I realise it isn‘t 🤣🤣 4y
JanuarieTimewalker13 I was INSIDE a library today for the first time in over 6 months and it felt great!!! So you know today was a good day!! 4y
Andrew65 @JanuarieTimewalker13 Think last time I was in a library was early March. Crazy! 4y
JanuarieTimewalker13 My local library is still curbside only, but a larger one about 20 minutes away, let‘s people in on certain days. It just felt so good, and it was empty and it‘s huge. I needed that. 6 months is a long time for library lovers to go without their libraries!!📚❤️ 4y
Andrew65 @JanuarieTimewalker13 Pubs and restaurants are open but not libraries. Go figure!!! 4y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Oh man, does that say a lot about society. Im glad I live in Januarieland. Hahahahaha 4y
JacqMac Even a little bit of normal is nice. Not much happening over here. Just having routine days this week. Went out for groceries. Trying not to be too anxious about hubby‘s appointment with the surgeon next week. Just trying to keep everything as calm as we can. But it comes in waves. 4y
TheBookHippie My son starts his new school Monday so gearing up for that . That‘ll be a better fit and less stress and he‘ll be away from the bully situation that got out of hand. I‘ll be able to focus on my students better too. But it‘s still a stress filled world . Just one day at a time 4y
kezzlou85 @BookwormM thank you.♥️ 4y

I definitely have #wanderlust and wish I could travel more than I‘m able (vacation hours and finances have their limits!). Here are a few photos from my spring trip to Cornwall, which was my most recent visit to somewhere new to me. I also went to London and Windsor, but those were return trips. Now to keep dreaming of where to go next. #LetsTravelJuly

JenReadsAlot I hear ya on the finances getting in the way of travel!! 5y
MallenNC @JenReadsAlot Seriously, a lot of places would be checked off my bucket list by now if not for that! 5y
JenReadsAlot Agreed!! 5y

OF COURSE I will giggle at medieval toilet references 😂 (the castle in question is Totnes)

TrishB Love Totnes ❤️ 6y
Andrew65 Me too, and Dartmouth! 6y
rabbitprincess @TrishB @Andrew65 Some day I will make a trip to that part of England! I've been to Cornwall but not much of Devon (apart from Plymouth). 6y

Andrew65 Must go to Dartmouth and Salcombe. Simply beautiful! @rabbitprincess At Dartmouth you can just imagine Nelson having disembarked from a ship! 6y
rwmg Garde robe! 6y
rabbitprincess @rwmg Robes were in evidence at the one at Caerphilly, which featured a mannequin of a medieval person (wearing robes and) using the facilities...and there were sound effects 😂😂😂😂😂😂 6y
