I am woefully behind on reviews so I am catching up! This was another great installment in the #DresdenFiles #Series! Some long-awaited character development happened, which I appreciated. Definitely reading the next one!

Book 15 and why is there still a guy with a hat on the covers of this series? Harry doesn't do hats!

Harry is roped into a heist. Something very precious needs to be extracted from a vault that is not only in the Never-Never hard to reach category, but also protected like no other vault. Think Gringott's to the power of ten.

#SeriesLove2023 @TheSpineView @Andrew65

TheSpineView No idea on the hat. Great job with this series! 14mo
julesG @TheSpineView Just two more novels to go, then it's waiting for #18. 14mo
BookLove4Ever The hat thing always gets me! 😂 14mo
julesG @BookLove4Ever It's weird, isn't it? Butcher has Harry state he doesn't do hats nearly once in every book, yet the guy on the cover always wears a hat. Oh, well, maybe the model has a bald spot. 🤣 14mo

Finished book 15! Of the Dresden Files. This might be the longest series I‘ve ever read.

In this one, Harry has to help his enemy break into Hades vault. So a lot of it is heist planning and not as much action as the other books.

It was still good and onto the next one!

🎧 Dresden Files - book 15.

Harry has come a long way. In this book Mab loans Harry (aka the Winter Knight) out to Nicodemus. Harry still has the parasite in his head threatening to kill him & now Mab has given him an ice cold earring to keep it at bay while he takes part in the Hades Heist!

Butters‘ character is expanded!

A host of new & old, friends & enemies. Action! Action! Action!

James Marsters, narration, chef‘s kiss!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

#Two4Tuesday @TheSpineView

1. I always liked Hades in traditional mythology. He usually gets a bad rap. (In the Marvel universe I'm an Ares fan.)
2. Skin Game by Jim Butcher. A wizard, a knight, a couple sorcerers, a sasquatch, and a fallen angel team up to rob one of Hades' vaults in the underworld. Hijinks ensue.

LazyOwl I'm slowly making my way through the Dresden Files, but I haven't got to that one yet. It sounds good. 3y
TheSpineView I too am reading the Dresden Files. Just finished book 2 so a ways to go. Thanks for playing 3y
TK421 @LazyOwl @TheSpineView I've made my way through all the books so far. There was only 1 that I really didn't care for, and I'm not sure if it was the story or the fact that it's the only book James Marster didn't narrate. 3y

Almost a foot of snow last night gave me the day off work! I guess snow is good for something after all. I was able to get a bit of audio shoveling done. I have been loving James Marsters' narration of this series.

Lauram Added! I‘ve been meaning to find Spike out there in the audiobook world. 3y
Chrissyreadit Pretty! 3y
TK421 @Lauram Martser's has done all but one book in the Dresden Files series. He is an excellent narrator that really brings these books to life. And every once in a while he gets to use a very Spike like accent! 3y

A fun heist story. I definitely enjoyed it as a fantastic romp through the archetypal heist adventure.

julesG Tardis blue! I might have to use this in future. 6y
julesG What are you knitting at the moment? 6y
GlitterGirl @julesG I am knitting a set consisting of a scarf, hat (my first) and booksleeve for a friend. 6y
julesG Nice! I love hats and scarves. No second one to make. I have so many single socks and wrist warmers that are still waiting for their twin. 🙈 6y

#TrivialThursday

1. Jim Butcher because he always seems to be able to write Harry out of any mess, so hopefully he could write us off a deserted island!
2. Jimmy Buffett - songs of Margaritaville seem appropriate for an island
3. On an island? Rum, of course! “But why is the rum gone?” #pirates

...I'm caught up with Harry Dresden. I've been reading the Dresden files all year, and I've finally caught up.
...
WHAT HAVE I DONE?!? How long will I have to wait for more Harry? Readers are not meant to catch up with a series. It is just wrong.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa LOL! I fell your pain! I‘ve been caught up in Dresden for awhile now, but at least he‘s not Game of Thrones slow. I‘d recommend his other series to you in your lull though, only one book out so far... 6y
GeekGrl82 I'll check it out, @Riveted_Reader_Melissa , Thanks! I already picked up Codex Alera on my audible account. 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @GeekGrl82 I haven‘t read those yet. Let me know how you like it. Another series that‘s great on audiobook, and has a similar fun vibe as Dresden is Kevin Hearne‘s Iron Druid series, great narrator, the first book is 6y
