#31bookpics #bookquote I love this quote; Harry is questioning why he can‘t do more, and Michael helps him understand he‘s not perfect & can only do so much.

wanderinglynn Love when Michael gives Harry some perspective. 1y

1. Harry Dresden & Mouse (photo found on Pinterest)
2. Tardis Blue...don't know about least favorite
3. What is this breakfast you speak of?
4. Yes...whatever I decide I want to make or do. Currently it is knitting...have made some River Song journals...glitter shoes
5. Hand cream. Always have some form of cream with me, most times more than one container and yes I know I have a BIT of a problem, but cream is most important! Always!!!!!
@MinDea

julesG Tardis blue! I might have to use this in future. 1y
julesG What are you knitting at the moment? 1y
GlitterGirl @julesG I am knitting a set consisting of a scarf, hat (my first) and booksleeve for a friend. 1y
julesG Nice! I love hats and scarves. No second one to make. I have so many single socks and wrist warmers that are still waiting for their twin. 🙈 1y

Do you ever get the feeling that your favorite character is going to get killed off in the next book or so? Yeah....

#TrivialThursday

1. Jim Butcher because he always seems to be able to write Harry out of any mess, so hopefully he could write us off a deserted island!
2. Jimmy Buffett - songs of Margaritaville seem appropriate for an island
3. On an island? Rum, of course! “But why is the rum gone?” #pirates

#readingresolutions #belovedcharacters Two very different books with very different characters & plots, but regardless, Harry Dresden & Jenny are both beloved characters of mine.

#readingresolutions #beautifulwriting This is one of my favourite quotes, because while Harry is talking about magic, you can apply that concept to anything. To reading or writing, baking or cooking, anything that tickles your fancy.

#riotgrams #belovedseries As you can probably tell from the spines on some of these books, I have read & reread this series several times. I love this series so much - despite its focus on magic, there‘s so much humanity & wisdom in it.

Ddzmini Which one is the first in the series 2y
Rudis @Ddzmini Storm Front is the first in the series. 2y

#quotsyjan18 #spirit Pardon the long quote, but it‘s one of my absolute favourite Dresden Files quotes. How Harry describes what magic means to him is almost spiritual.

...I'm caught up with Harry Dresden. I've been reading the Dresden files all year, and I've finally caught up.
...
WHAT HAVE I DONE?!? How long will I have to wait for more Harry? Readers are not meant to catch up with a series. It is just wrong.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa LOL! I fell your pain! I‘ve been caught up in Dresden for awhile now, but at least he‘s not Game of Thrones slow. I‘d recommend his other series to you in your lull though, only one book out so far... 2y
GeekGrl82 I'll check it out, @Riveted_Reader_Melissa , Thanks! I already picked up Codex Alera on my audible account. 2y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @GeekGrl82 I haven‘t read those yet. Let me know how you like it. Another series that‘s great on audiobook, and has a similar fun vibe as Dresden is Kevin Hearne‘s Iron Druid series, great narrator, the first book is 2y

I would probably pick Dresden & his gang! He always completes his rescue, and besides that, he'd probably bring his mountain of a dog, Mouse! 🐶

@ValkyrieAndHerBooks #bookstotherescue

AllenTStClair Dresden & Co. are definitely a good choice for a rescue mission. I second that! 2y

Finished the reread of one of my absolute favourite series, and it was worth every moment of it. The world continues to build & shift & grow. There are plenty of heart-wrenching moments, and many moments that made me stop to think about myself & my path.

ScientistSam 💞Dreden. Once the next book has a release date, may be time for a reread 2y

I love this whole conversation with Michael. It's easily one of my favourites in the series, in literature as a whole, and something I turn to a lot myself.

Another delightful installment, with Marsters as a brilliant narrator. I cackled with delight, I was nearly brought to tears, I was left with a warm, fuzzy feeling. And I really loved the honeymoon story.
