See You in September
See You in September | Charity Norman
10 posts | 5 read | 3 to read
Cassy smiled, blew them a kiss. 'See you in September,' she said. It was a throwaway line. Just words uttered casually by a young woman in a hurry. And then she'd gone. It was supposed to be a short trip - a break in New Zealand before her best friend's wedding. But when Cassy waved goodbye to her parents, they never dreamed that it would be years before they'd see her again. Having broken up with her boyfriend, Cassy accepts an invitation to stay in an idyllic farming collective. Overcome by the peace and beauty of the valley and swept up in the charisma of Justin, the community's leader, Cassy becomes convinced that she has to stay. As Cassy becomes more and more entrenched in the group's rituals and beliefs, her frantic parents fight to bring her home - before Justin's prophesied Last Day can come to pass. A powerful story of family, faith and finding yourself, See You in September is an unputdownable new novel from this hugely compelling author.

I'm aiming to participate as much as possible in 3 #photochallenges this month. For #day1, here's my #septembermostanticipated #mostanticipated #tbr. I also have a few audiobooks and an ebook on tap. A girl's gotta have choices!😉📚#fallintobooks #autumnreads #awesomeautumnbooks

AlaMich Awww...Nancy Drew!! I got me a whole box of those yellow hardbacks in the basement. Dad got fed up a ways back and shipped them all to me. 😬 I don't know what to do with them... 7y
PurpleyPumpkin @AlaMich I only have the first three in the series and I'm on the hunt for the rest! They're hard to find though. I find the newer versions everywhere, but these older ones, not so much. I'll keep looking! 👀🔍 7y

I decided to not make an official TBR for September because it's always a busy month with back to school. There's a lot I like about fall, but all the stress with the return to work is not one of those things! If you're looking for me, I'll be mourning the loss of summer and bracing myself for September craziness.

Dragon Hope back to work goes well and that you will be able to do some fun stuff this weekend. 🤞 7y
JenReadsAlot That's me 😊 7y
2BR02B This is so real. There is so little support for cat moms in the work force. Is a little paid caternity leave really too much to ask for? 7y
CouronneDhiver Seriously... I'm in! 😂 7y
Purrfectpages @JenReadsAlot are you a stay at home cat mom or just aspiring to be? @dragon thank you! @CouronneDhiver I know, right? @2BR02B Paid caternity...I like the way you think! 7y

What a fantastic book! I feel like I've been on an incredible journey with Cassy and her family from London to New Zealand. My furst book by this author and definitely not my last. A must read for 2017. Thanks so much to Readers First for my paperback copy which really did enhance my reading experience. ☺
