I surprisingly loved this. I normally stay away from "teen dramas" but the storyline had me hooked from page 1. I am however slightly fuzzy regarding the ending in terms of whether or not she really died or what. However, I found the story overall to be very relatable in some aspects and I enjoyed how personal it was for the main characters. Can't wait for the movie!

I'm 2 chapters in and here are my thoughts: 2/3 of the triplets were somehow mixed up. Katharine is not really a poisoner, but a naturalist who has built up SOME tolerance to poisons over the last 16 years, and her familiar is sweetheart, and Arsinoe is the poisoner living in a naturalist world. I mean, hello. Arsine. Arsinoe. Cmon. I'll be mad if I'm wrong.

So I started this last night and I know it's in pre production with talks of Emma Watson playing Kelsea, but kelsea is also described as having dark features and looking nothing like her blonde statuesque mother. I was kind of hoping they'd cast a POC, because that's how I'm picturing her. Regardless, I love Emma and I'm loving the story.

Friends!! The illustrated HP & TCOS is currently only $20 on the Barnes & Noble website! They're providing a free 20% coupon on top of the online price in case anyone was interested in adding to their collection. It's the cheapest I've seen it anywhere, so I just snagged my copy. My bookcase got a serious upgrade today! I haven't had time to read much these last two weeks bc school started back up but I'm slowly making my way through Carrie by Stephen King. Also, I tagged the host as my featured book bc it's currently available in hardcover in the bargain section of my local B&N for $6 and I have enough room for an extra copy. Decisions, decisions.

Yamich49 Ooooo pretty bookcase! I loved The Host - more than her other books. 😉 8y

So this was my first uppercase box. I enjoy book box subscriptions because I enjoy bookish novelty items and new books. This book is not something I would EVER have picked for myself, but I'll shelve it next to my Kiera Cass books. I don't think I'll be subscribing to uppercase again, bc as much as I loved their previous boxes/box contents, I don't love the contents in this one; they're just not worth the price, signed book or not.

BooksTeasAndBookishThings They usually have great books, I have to admit, though, this is one I probably wouldn't have picked either. But, I hope you will still consider them maybe one more time? I loved This Savage Song and My Lady Jane, still haven't read Girl Against The Universe yet, but they do usually have great books. 8y
tianatable @BooksTeasAndBookishThings this was my first from them, and I've sort of dedicated this summer to trying out a bunch of different boxes. There's still one more I desperately wanna try before settling on one, but given that they have to fit their items in that nifty drawstring bag, I just don't feel as though I got as much bang for my buck with this one. I might go back someday! The signed book is a cool feat 8y
BooksTeasAndBookishThings LitCube would be my choice as far as the bookish items go. They will feature indie authors and try to have signed bookplates, too, but their items are seriously so great! You will always get your money's worth with them. If you haven't tried them yet. 😉 8y

tianatable @BooksTeasAndBookishThings I LOVE litcube! They're the only one I've ordered from more than once. I want to try NovelTeaClub wicked bad. I've also tried TBDBB and TheBookishBox. BooksTeasAndBookishThings I have only ordered one TBDBB, and I did love it, but I love GoT, so that worked. OwlCrate is sometimes@so great, and other times just so-so. The Bookish Box, LitCube, and Uppercase are definitely my favourites along with Book Of The Month! I also subscribe to Easton Press The Greatest Books Ever Written. Those are the most BEAUTIFUL books I have ever gotten! I love tea so I have seriously considered NovelTeas. If you do, let me know 😊 8y

Gonna keep this straight to the point. I didn't see the relevance/necessity of Delphi. I'm highly disappointed that Teddy Lupin isn't mentioned at all. Polyjuice potion takes about 3 months to make & they talk about making it in a night. I adore Scorpius. bc it's a play the character development progresses in the worst way. Wish it was a thick, detailed novel. Beggars can't be choosers though.

Okay. I loved it. Beauty & the Beast meets Twilight. However- my only issue has to do with continuity. Considering Feyre technically died, shouldn't her bargain with Rhys have been fulfilled? Making it null and void? Severing her tie to him? Starting book 2 tomorrow. That better get cleared up!

I didn't like it at first. Not one bit. But it grew on me. The story intensified even if the characters didn't. And we don't really get an antagonist until the end. Also realized it's an allegorical narrative relating to heaven, hell, and purgatory. Not sure if I want to read the sequel.
