i can't wait to start reading Winter!!!
haven't read this since i was a baby feminist in high school! loved it even more now, 10+ years later.
was this book good? sure thing. did it live up to the hype? not so much.
i'm just a third of the way in and i'm already devastated by this book. oh, jude.
this is the perfect graphic novel for the naysayers - graphic novels can be complex, meaningful, AND fun!
about to crack open this tome - how concerned should i be for my emotional state??
sigh, this book was everything, everything.
cyborgs, interplanetary conflict, and a badass heroine? yep, sign me up for the second book.
exploring the ripple effect while wrapped in beautiful prose.
british romance + "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" = most excellent.
sooooo, Nice Guy™ gone psycho? apt description, i think.
The end of THE END is the best place to begin THE END, because if you read THE END from the beginning of the beginning of THE END to the end of the end of THE END, you will arrive at the end.
staying home with a nasty cold can have its benefits.
closer & closer to finishing my reread of this series!
third and final book of my super successful @24in48 weekend!
@24in48 book 2 for the readathon: done!
my @24in48 goal? finish up my LONG overdue reread of "a series of unfortunate events." what about you? #24in48 #readathon
this was soooo cute!
i just appreciate how sarah vowell calls it like it is: lafayette was an earnest teenager & the continental army was a hot ass mess until various europeans piped in to help out.
jólabókaflóð = chocolate + book + christmas eve
the plumbs sure do put the fun back in dysfunctional.
perfect way to conclude my 2016 #ReadHarder challenge! 🙌💁
this book & i are the same age!
i wish i could grow my own food and live off my own land, too. guess i'll just have to keep buying from the farmer's market.
oh boy! this was an absolute mess in the best way possible. i read some lukewarm reviews on goodreads after i finished...some people missed the memo: this book isn't about a monkey. at all! i really recommend this one.
oh boy, what a read. hard to read but even harder to put down.
i wish there was more going on in this book! i wanted to love it. alas.
amazing that a 200 year old novel still made me cackle as frequently as i did.
how profound and moving. read it for my cultural arts book club - can't recommend this enough!
