Taking a break from ACOTAR. What a beautiful photo 💔
I‘m very much digging this book series so far! 🧚♀️
A thriller book with a Taylor Swift lyric quote? Sold.
Just started getting into manga with the guidance of a good friend!
Does anyone else get the urge to ready scary books and watch scary movies around this time every summer?
I‘m getting into audiobooks (finally) and today it dawned on me I can play them through my giant Bluetooth lantern while I sunbathe on the porch 😂☀️
Just an easy morning at the lake, still in bed with coffee 💙
Got lucky and picked up the last copy at the airport before my flight home earlier this week 🙏🏻
Sadly, my library wouldn‘t purchase this one. At least I get to keep it forever! ☺️
Been a busy year already, figured I should get into this before the new season!
Hey Alexa, play “Don‘t You Forget About Me”. This being the title of chapter one, I had to listen to it! 😈🎃🖤
It seems like the last month has just gotten away from me. Still working on this one! I‘ll gladly take any spooky seasons book recommendations though! 🎃🖤👻
As is tradition, my library hold was ready right when I‘m 100 pages into The Dutch House and also reading Ways of the Househusband 😂
Watched the show on Netflix, figured it was a good way to get into manga!
Is it just me, or does anyone else reserve a lot of books at the library, and they magically all become ready at the same time? Good thing my library has done away with late fees 😅
Biology is weird and inherited trauma is real. Nothing has soothed my anxiety and my frustrations with having anxiety and panic attacks quite like this book has. So far, we like.
Hey Alexa, play “Cell Block Tango”. 🔪💔💀
After being let down by Arsenic and Adobo, I really hope this is a good one 🥺
About half way through this one. Anyone else find it somewhat slow at the beginning?
I love that I figured out my library loans out coffee table books. This is a painting of my Ohio River, no wonder I was drawn to it! ☺️
I felt every emotion while reading this. Please, if you‘re at all interested in Appalachia, do yourself a favor and read this. Please. I promise it‘s not all how it is portrayed.
Actually bought some books, instead of borrowing from my library 🍊
Time to start this one! I went to Jeju when I was 14 years old, and I‘d give anything to go back. 🧜♀️
Loved this book. However, ⚠️TRIGGER WARNING⚠️ description of rape starting on the last page of chapter 87 and continues through chapter 88. Just wanted to give you folks a warning before you stumble on it.
My mister treated me to some new books today ☺️💖
As I‘ve been reading this book and watching documentaries on this moment of history, it‘s resonating more and more with the last year here in the US. When I read this quote, I had instant chills.
Once I found out my library had copies on order, I placed a hold. I want to say I was 40th or so in line? I went to the library on Tuesday and found a copy on the shelf. I logged into my account, and I was still 16th in line. What luck!
Just a perfect day to cuddle with the dog and a good book on the couch! ❄️ ☕️ 🐕 📖
I‘ve been into a thriller mood lately. Books, movies, tv shows. This one is great so far!
With snow falling, this book seemed to be the best choice for my next read. Coffeehouse jazz, candles, cozy blanket, and a good book. The hygge is real ❄️
Only through the prologue, and it already hits home. This book caught my eye because it seemed like a good read to exit 2020 and enter 2021. So far, so good. ❄️
Okay so, I love historical fiction about women in war time, especially when it brings in reality. I am so excited that this book mentions Virginia Hall. I‘ve been reading A Woman of No Importance (non fiction about Virginia) and just too happy to see her mentioned here! 😌
Figured it was best to keep up the momentum of reframing my health, both physical and mental, going into the end of this chaotic year!
Ever feel like you‘re looking a mirror when you read a certain paragraph or line? Working as a stock broker can be stressful in regular times, but since March it‘s been a true struggle. I‘ve gotten so stressed and depressed to the point where taking personal leave had to happen, and it physically hurt to slam the brakes. The last line really hit home.
I‘ve loved all of David Chang‘s shows and I was over the moon when I heard about this one. I was even more excited to know my library had a copy! Thanks so much, Baby King! 🍑 🧡
Super excited to finally get my hands on this one! As a Cincinnati native, it was so cool to see him portrayed on Boardwalk Empire. Cheers! 🥃
Times have been really hard lately, and I‘ve spent more time crying and worrying than anything else. While working from home the rest of the year can be a blessing, it has also been extremely difficult. I picked up this little guy and the pictures alone in this book are already cheering me up.
Another book I‘m going through too fast. I don‘t want it to end! 😭
This book is living up to my expectations so far. I loved her first book, and this one reads like a modern day Passing. I‘m already sad for it to end!
