Been a busy year already, figured I should get into this before the new season!
I have to admit I only read the second book because of Bridgerton. I read the first book because my library app suggested it and then I heard about the show. So, I watched the show afterwards and loved it! I liked this book but not as much as the first book. It was light and enjoyable. I might read the next romance in the Bridgerton family. I also like the brother Colin quite a bit, more than Anthony actually. I think he‘s the next book.
I love Kate Sheffield and so will you…as did Bridgerton after their game of Pall Mall. Again, the books are so much better than the tv series.
Just one look at the cover and I wouldn‘t have read this. But after reading the first book for the TV show, I‘d fallen in love with this quirky family! This book might be the biggest surprise of my entire reading year!😱 Compelling story w/characters you can‘t WAIT to know more about! Super hot MC‘s too!! The entertainment factor of this book was so high that I‘m sorry I judged it by the cover! Clearly, this author is on her game! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ &1/2

Such a fun, light read! I wasn't a fan of the first (Daphne's Story) but this one made up for all the first was lacking. I enjoyed Anthony's character as well as his love interests Kate. Kate was such a witty woman, I adored her. I enjoyed the back story to the late Mr. Bridgerton as well.
After a wicked slasher novel I decided to lighten my reading up a bit with Bridgerton #2 The Viscount Who Loved Me. I am looking forward to something light and fluffy before I dive into a couple dark fantasy novels. What do you think of the Bridgerton series?
6-26-21: My 69th finished book of 2021! Light and fluffy which is good after the last book I read. Book 2 in the Bridgerton series finds the viscount Anthony Bridgerton on the market for a wife, finally. When he decides to court Edwina Sheffield he doesn‘t expect her sister Kate to get in the way. I assume the next season on Amazon will follow this story as the first book and first season followed pretty well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏼📖#️⃣6️⃣9️⃣
I enjoyed this second Bridgerton book better than the first one in the series! It was predictable in many ways, but surprising in others. I found myself wanting to keep reading about these characters and to know what would happen in the parts I couldn‘t predict. Reminded me very loosely of a modern romance version of an Austen novel. 💗
I thoroughly enjoyed book 2 of the #Bridgerton series! It took me a few chapters to really get into it, but once I did it was hard to put down. Anthony in the show is gorgeous and brooding and I‘m glad I had that visual with me as I read this. I love Kate and can‘t wait to see what they do with her in season 2. As a heads up to anyone who wants to read this series: save the 2nd epilogues at the end of each book until you finish the whole series ⬇️
Good read, little predictable and dull at times though. VERY disappointed at how little Newton was in it. And never even told us if he survived the carriage wreak! Newton being the most entertaining and lively character of the entire book.
Finished my first book for #20in4, and it was meh at best. Started off ok, and then became increasingly problematic due to Anthony's behavior. Considering when it was published (2000), I wasn't too surprised, but I was reminded of why I generally avoid old school romance. I skipped the second epilogue in this edition, as I heard it's not necessary.
I've been reading a lot of war so I added in some romance. This picks up after the first novel or the first season, depending on how you first encountered Bridgerton. Anthony has decided he needs to get married, but not to someone he will fall in love with. The bee thing is also explained.
Somewhere along the way, author Julia Quinn wrote bonus epilogues. I'm not sure it was needed plus it had a spoiler for a future story.
This book was a major struggle and didn't come close to being as enjoyable as the first book in the series. It's pretty bad when you hate the male lead and have to skim the last 1/3 because you just want to be done. This is one of those rare cases where I'm going to stop reading the books and just watch the TV show
Admittedly, Bridgerton's announcement that Regé-Jean Page would not be reprising his role of Simon, Duke of Hastings, in Season 2 was NOT what fans (including me) wanted to hear. However, I do not yet think it's a reason to panic (romance readers get it). I filmed an emergency youtube video about it yesterday if you're interested https://youtu.be/jyt62mJfF-g
For years, my best friend has been telling me that I need to get into Julia Quinn's books. Now I'm finally jumping on the bandwagon and kicking myself for not heeding her advice sooner! Better late than never, though, and I am delighted to be heading into a long, lazy weekend filled with the Bridgerton family! #Bridgerton #CurrentlyReading
The second book about the Bridgerton siblings and we follow Anthony in is quest for a wife. This is a romance like any other, but I absolutely love Quinn‘s humorous writing. There‘s a Pall Mall game between some of the Bridgerton siblings and some other sisters that had my laughing out loud several times as I read, and I hardly ever laugh while reading. The Bridgerton sibling bantering is amazing.
I will finish Anne‘s House of Dreams and Backlash.
I also want to read the tagged book and the Christie.
Then I‘ll see what catch my fancy next.

I found this second book in the series a bit dull and predictable - and Anthony and Kate‘s respective phobias quite annoying. Nevertheless I have proceeded straight to book 3, so I probably can‘t pretend it was that bad.
I‘m actually obsessed with this series now 😂 the third book is already on order straight after finishing this one! Such a good read with all the romance and steamy scenes the tv series promises, after finishing this book I cannot wait for season 2!
I loved it. It was not as fast paced as the Duke and I which made it fairly frustrating in places, I just wanted to bang their heads together. I really loved Anthony‘s character arc, it was very similar to Simons which showed why the two were such close friends before Simon and Daphne married.
Okay so this is my next read. Starting tonight or tomorrow. Depends on the little ones. But I‘m gonna see if I like it as much as I liked the first one because I think this is another one of the siblings being wrote about. Edit: I tried and I can‘t get into it because I just watched the show I need a break before I got to new characters.
Ahhhh I love the Bridgertons. This was perfect - a fun romance with all the Bridgerton drama thrown in. Anthony and Kate are just lovely.
I may have slight Bridgerton obsession! 😂 Watched the TV show over Christmas and started reading the books last week and just finished the second one, normally I take a break between books in a series, but I couldn't wait. Book 2 focuses on Anthony, my favourite character from the show, and I loved it! Now, can I resist the temptation to go straight on to book 3?!
I loved this book. My favorite moments where the storm in the library and Pall Mall. Those made the book. I loved the enemies to lover trope and loved the banter between Anthony and Kate. This book was just adorable and so good. I can‘t wait to read more of these books.
