Would it be terrible to pull my book out during the Astro's game?

mjdowens Nope. I read at all my kids sporting events when they weren't actually in the field playing. 5y
tapgurl I read while my daughter was cheering at football games. I actually like basketball so I would watch:) 5y

I Am Helpful | Errol Goodman

My 19 yr old daughter is home on a college break & wants something epic to read! Any suggestions? She's a romantic at heart, but also likes paranormal & dystopian.

Bookzombie For paranormal, this is middle grade/ya but fun and sometimes really spooky. I'm 38 and love them. 🙂 5y
Bookzombie For dystopian, I just reread The Hunger Games. Battle Royale is one I'm going to get to soon. Again, YA but the Rot & Ruins series is great if she like dystopian with zombies. I don't know if any of these are helpful or not. 5y

My reading buddy is down for the count!

NovelGirl82 You have a Boxer?! 5y
kristen_reads YES!! He just turned 5 months. He is usually wild & crazy, only sometimes is he snugly like this. Do you have a boxer too? 5y
NovelGirl82 Haha! I have two! A fawn, like yours, and a reverse brindle. We love our boxer babies! I have several pictures of them on here. They are hysterical! If you look at meet the boxer, all of my posts about them are on there. 5y

This is the best in the series this far, imo! I *may* have a slight crush on Rhys 🤗

Bellajo That is an inspiring quote! And I love the first book a court of thorn and roses. How would you rate the second book? 5y
kristen_reads I liked the second better than the first, but loved them both! I'm halfway through #3, it's a bit slow compared to the others imo. @Bella1217 (edited) 5y

I love Charlaine Harris, I'm excited to try this series! Has anyone else read it?

LauraBrook I did, and I really liked it! I read Day Shift and Night Shift back to back too, they were so much fun! Plus if you've read her other series (well, Sookie for sure), it's fun to see who shows up. Hope you like Midnight! 6y

This one was better than the first two, but still it was just ok for me. I liked the characters, and the plot was good- but it was just too slow.

My TBT... No haters😁it was the book that made me fall in love with reading! Twilight will always hold a special place in my heart

OSChamberlain I haven't read the series in years, but i know I read it before the movies even came out, and I vaguely remember enjoying it. 6y

Ais No need to be embarrassed, we all have different ways of coming to reading, each just as valid as the next! This may not be for me, but it was for you so that's the main thing😊 6y
bookish.hummingbird Not my kind of book. I tried to read it and like it but nah. BUT I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I'm always happy to support books that make reading fun for people. 😊 6y
MonikaS Still love this book!🍎 6y

charissharpe Love Twilight although I have to confess to really not liking the final book 😔 5y

I have mixed feelings on the first two in this series, but I liked them enough to keep reading. Starting #3 now!

HeatherBookNerd This is not my usual genre but I have enjoyed the Raven series. Her writing and characters are terrific. 6y
kristen_reads I love the characters! But the story has been slow for me this far. I hear #3 picks up quickly, though! 6y
KeepCalmWithBooksAndCoffee When I was having trouble with this series, I tried the audiobooks. They are awesome! 6y
bookish.hummingbird It helps to think of the 4 books as one Big Ass book. The 1st is kinda slow as its introducing you to the world. Then it picks up with 2 & 3. The 4th is pretty climactic. The typical dramatic structure if you think of the series as just one book. 6y

I really wanted to like this series, but it was just ok for me. The potential was there, it was too slow. I'm not sure if I'll continue the series or not.

Kd_reads As someone feeling the same way about the series, I can say that the next one starts off stronger than this one. I started it today. 70 pages in and actually enjoying it much more than the first two already! So hopefully it just goes up from here! 6y
kristen_reads Kd_reads I'm starting #3 now! I love the characters, I just need more excitement or something to speed the story along! 😬 6y
bookish.hummingbird I was just mentioning in another comment that it helps to think of the series as just one book. It present the typical dramatic structure of intro (1), rising action (2&3) and climax (4). 😁Book 4 is intense compared to the 1,2 and the first half of 3. 6y

BooksTeasAndBookishThings Third favourite classic of all time. I just love this book! 6y
kristen_reads I love the classics, but haven't gotten to this one yet! I'm excited, but nervous for the audio part. @LitHousewife it's narrated by David Horowitz. I didn't think to check out different ones, I just got what my library had. 😁 6y
DitrieMarieBowie Honestly wasn't a fan, but mostly because the characters made infuriating choices. Didn't like The Great Gatsby for the same reasons, so take that with a grain of salt. Hope you enjoy it. 6y
Megabooks https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_Taylor_(writer) @OffTheBeatenShelf.com I'm really happy for how well his career is going! 6y
Readasaurus_rex I liked half of it. The half about Anna. The long exegeses about Russian politics and rural life I could have lived without. 6y
Mamashep I tried this one on audio but could not keep the characters straight. 6y
AvidReader25 I loved this one on audio! 6y

I LOVE the Stephanie Plum series, but 22 just wasn't as good as the rest. I still belly-laughed at Lula the 'ho & Grandma Mazur, but the suspense was lacking. And not enough Morelli/Ranger!
