I wanted to share this little haul that has me so excited! I read this series when I was in 4th grade and loved it so much! I've always wanted to collect and reread them, but could never justify spending the money. Last night, I found them for pretty cheap at Half Price Books!!!! Some years ago, I read what I thought was the original story, by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. With the release of this gorgeous edition, I realized that the full original was written by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve. This has been an interesting read!

I went to the midnight release and spent all of today marathoning through this. Returning, after all these years, not just to Harry Potter, but to the experience of Harry Potter, has been quite special. This has a life of its own, separate from the main series, but it also offers so many wonderful moments old and new. Having followed this journey from nearly the beginning, Harry Potter is always full of emotion for me. This was no different!

Finished this wonderful book in the best way: on the beach! As with all of Cassandra Clare's books, I highly recommend! The character interactions and relationships are fantastic!
