pickWe read this book tonight and our six year old quite enjoyed it. A fish who breaks an object and becomes frustrated and angry as the day goes on. With the help of his friends he learns that counting and using his words to express his emotions will gradually calm him down.
Loved how he gradually instead of instantly came down from his emotions. Great book to show our guy that it's ok to experience these emotions and how to come down from them.
pickMy daughter bought a set of the first 4 in this series from #Scholastic last year, and we've been reading them together. This series is a good transition to chapter books, because it still has lots of illustrations on each page (and a map!). Alternating between paragraphs and speech bubbles, it's a quick, light read for early readers. And the story, characters, and illustrations appeal to all genders.

pickSuch a cute book that our 5 year old boy absolutely loves. It's a book about a cub and his underwear. This little cub can be anything with his underwear while his imagination runs wild. Great book as he learns to read as well. Definitely a thumbs up from our little guy!
