This was the conclusion in the duology beginning with Fable. Adventure, romance, wonderful characters. Both were 5 ⭐️ for me. ❤️❤️

I‘m sad to leave this world! This was just as good as Fable, if not better. Someone else mentioned a prequel, and it‘s coming out in November! Saint and Isolde‘s story 😊

NinaRossi I bought this, but haven‘t read it yet. It makes me happy to hear that it‘s one of those worlds you don‘t want to leave, and there‘s more than one so you can stay in it longer. ❤️📚 2w
CBee @NinaRossi have you read Fable, the first book? And yes, definitely a world I didn‘t want to leave. I‘m so happy that she is continuing the story! 😊😊 2w

She crushed their lips together, unable to hold back for one more minute. “Yes,” she said when they pulled apart, knowing it was true, whatever she was agreeing to. “Yes, yes, yes.”

Definitely not my usual thing but that‘s the joy of challenges! There‘s a secret magical library with a strange manipulative competition between the ‘Six‘. Too much world-building, magicy stuff for me, but I did enjoy following the chess-like moves and POVs of each of the six chosen to protect and learn at the library. I love a #DarkAcademia vibe, and the complexity of characters kept me engaged. No.2 of the #duology due in Oct. #pop22 #booked2022

Cinfhen Well done 👍🏻 2mo
squirrelbrain Great review! I was going to read this one for this prompt, (I think @trishb recommended it - or at least C did! 🤣) but went with this instead… 2mo
TrishB @squirrelbrain definitely C - it‘s one of her fave books. I have the special edition of the second one on order! 2mo

Megabooks I‘ve been wondering what to do with the duology. Great review! 2mo
KarenUK @Megabooks it‘s one the hardest challenges I think! Particularly when I‘m not a fantasy reader usually! So many duologies are in that genre. This was a #doubledip for two challenges, so I decided to give it a go! The audio is full cast and really well done. 2mo
Cortg Way to keep an open mind! Congrats on finishing a non-favorite genre 🥳 2mo
BarbaraBB It sounds fun! 2mo

Not sure why I‘m just now getting to this (well, #doublebookspin 😂), but its predecessor (from 2020) was a 5⭐️ for me…I. Loved. It. And this was a wonderfully fitting end for Fable‘s story. At the conclusion of the first book, Fable, a young gem mage, is kidnapped from her love, West and her home on the Marigold by the evil helmsman trader Zola for his own selfish reasons and is forced to dive for treasure. She is then thrown into the 🔻

robinb opulent world of a relative she knew nothing about who is also out for their own greedy interests. What follows are exciting adventures, cunning double-crosses, and eye-opening revelations. This is a story about love and family, both the one you‘re born into and the one you make. It‘s about courage and strength and tenacity, even in the face of extreme odds. 🔻 2mo
robinb Fable is such a fierce and beautiful character and the story is written so well that the pages just flew by, leaving me a bit sad to see it end (but happy for Fable and her resolutions). I think I may lean a little more toward the first book (because, hey, it‘s Fable‘s introduction), but this one left a warmly satisfying feeling behind…and that‘s what a reader craves. 🔻 2mo
robinb Highly recommended. 5/5⭐️ And those covers…so stunningly gorgeous! #coverlove #doublebookspin @TheAromaofBooks 2mo

I just love everything Adriana Mather writes. They‘re just quick, interesting reads. I love the premise of an assassin academy and people aren‘t who you think they are - sometimes they‘re better and sometimes they‘re worse.
