OMG you guys. I adore this series and I can‘t wait to start the next one. The Faire is something I look forward to every year, so reading it during the off season helps! I love series like this, where a side character from the previous becomes the main character in the next. I was not expecting the twists and turns and it had my attention from the first page. I highly recommend this series! Just enough spice balanced with plenty of sweet!

Just finished: this was so funny! I laughed out loud quite a few times, which I don‘t normally do while reading. She was a remarkable woman with the ability to laugh at her misfortune. I bet she had a lot of great stories to tell.

This was an awesome retelling of the Evil Queen. I love the way the cliff hanger at the end carries the intent of Xifeng‘s journey to true power isn‘t over.

This was the October Once Upon a Bookclub pick! I loved this. The interactivity of the book box made reading this a freeing philosophical exercise in letting go. As someone with anxiety fueled by regrets in my past, this spoke to me on every possible level. HIGHLY recommend.

I have literally no words for how much I loved this. It was immersive and heartbreaking...I thought my heart was gonna beat right out of my chest for the last several hundred pages. Practically nonstop action for 600 pages!!!

This was a cute pick for the “sweet” box from Once Upon a Bookclub! I think I knew who the murderer was towards the middle, but the author did a good job of distracting me with all sorts of crazy info.

With my recent promotion, it‘s so hard to find time for myself amidst the chaos. I was inspired by an influencer I follow to take more moments for myself, pockets of peace, to decompress. Tuesday mornings are the only time I have to myself, so I spend them reading and having lunch at the park up the street from work!

What would happen if Mulan had to travel through the underworld? This book was pretty good! I liked the emotional reveal of Mulan‘s true identity, and I loved all the callbacks to the original film. The concept of the powerful elite and ordinary people was such a cool idea. I was far more interested in the power dynamic than the confusing love triangle that didn‘t make ANY sense. I‘m still gonna read the sequel though 🤭

I started reading this with my ears on my commute! I loved it, the different perspectives were amazing, it gave such an awesome insight into Gilead, I wish there was so much more to read. I love dystopian novels and I find their origins fascinating. It almost felt like a history book.

Another amazing pick from #onceuponabookclub I can‘t believe I finished it in one sitting!! I couldn‘t put it down.

I love the classic regency era novels, and so does Victoria, the heroine of this story. It took a while to get to the excitement and romance, much like those classic stories, but I loved it. So much deceit and mystery!

This was really cute! Super short, one of my college besties narrated the audiobook, so this was a surprise read for me! I wish the whole plot twist involving Elena‘s dad was explored more, super interesting idea!

I absolutely loved this book. I got it from the @Onceuponabookclub May box and buddy read it with my mom @BarkingMadRun ! I‘ve never been interested in the westward expansion/ Oregon Trail era, but after reading this I want to explore that era a lot more! I thought it was a thrilling love story, and I‘m adding it to my list of books I think would make a great Hallmark Movie!
