I recommend this book as Jessamyn was very authentic and shared some tough things. I love how Jessamyn found yoga 🧘🏾‍♀️ and uses it for her self care and how she brings yoga to all people.

I highly recommend this book 📖 Ashley C.Ford brought her full self to this work and told her story masterfully. I recommended also listening to the audiobook as there is a great interview at the end with the author and Clint Smith, where Ashley shares her writing process and shares how she processed her feeling and emotions during the writing of this book.

Chelsea.Poole I loved the end of the audiobook as well! 3y

People will tell you that times are different but only some love is granted public access. It‘s not that I want to display openly, but I‘d like the option. I highly recommend this book. It‘s heartbreaking but a story that needs to be told and voice that needs to be heard.

A story about a beautiful life and person and a wonderful mother daughter relationship. This story is about how we can still connect to those who have passed on. This was a book I read with my writing workshop. We got to speak with the author too (virtually).

#HoneyGirl It was long but a great story. I loved how it touched on so many aspects of Grace, the main character‘s life. The stress of being the best, platonic and romantic relationships ( and family) and the importance of mental health. 🏳️‍🌈

#blackbuck #everyisdealsday This audiobook kept me on my toes. I couldn‘t stop listening. I cannot wait to see this adapted into film, I am sure it will be. This was a rags to riches story filled with deep and serious things racism in the workplace , gentrification and family/community. Buck the main character is a young black man who goes through so much in this book. Worth the read or listen but would be better as a film or tv series.

marleed I think it will be adapted too. I hope a limited series because there‘s so much to each character! 3y

Very interesting. Very sad how people are preyed upon; especially poor people. This book really gave insight into how the prosperity gospel hurts people and takes away from the the message and example of Jesus‘s life. It‘s worth the read no matter one‘s beliefs or faith.
