I have no words for this book. ITS FANTASTIC! So deep and relatable, especially if you love music. If there is something that automatically makes me buy a book, it's a 'Soundtrack list' at the back.
I need some recommendations for books with soundtrack lists.

This is the first novel that I‘ve read from the author dubbed “Sweden‘s Stephen King”. It‘s an interesting take on the vampire genre rolled, somewhat, into a coming of age story. The translation by Ebba Segerberg (who doesn‘t even get listed on the cover) is superb without a badly translated sentence. While I don‘t normally read vampire stories as I don‘t find them all that terrifying, the vampires in this story are perfectly unnerving.

BookBoggart His version of vampire zombies doesn't get acknowledged enough! Lol. I'm obsessed with his concept and always tell people. Yet they never read it. 😥 2y
Pruzy @BookBoggart I didn‘t even think of describing the “heart brain” effect as a vampire zombie, but it makes perfect sense! 2y
BookBoggart Right!? 😀 always made me oddly happy. Lol 2y

Pruzy @BookBoggart What‘s crazy too is that even after Häkan was “zombified” he was still driven by his disturbing and evil base instincts that motivated him when he was alive. 2y
BookBoggart Right!? Makes you think if something like that really is just our basic nature and not just the choice of the soul. If that makes sense...This makes me wanna re-read it so bad now! It's been 9 years or something since i read this! 2y
Pruzy @BookBoggart Nice! Any other Lindqvist books you recommend? 2y
Pruzy @BookBoggart Oh and on that same point, it totally makes me wonder what Virginia would have been like if she became a zombified vampire...would she have endlessly pursued Lacke? And considering Eli killed Lacke...what would Virginia have done then? 2y
BookBoggart I haven't read any of his other ones. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews and i have so much on my tbr. I can recommend Crow Girl though! Swedish style, dark, noir type. Though subject matter but very good. Written by 2 guys actually. I think it'shella unstated 2y
BookBoggart *hella underrated my phone decided to post it early annnd I don't feel like retyping it all. Lol 2y
BookBoggart I feel like she would be rather lost and lonely. Maybe persuing those who reminded her of him. Ultimately though she was better off. Even tho your mind is no longer there it would be a rough existence. Especially when the heart is guiding you. That seems a while new kinda hell. 2y
BookBoggart #deep. If you get that reference that's awesome! Lol 2y
Pruzy @BookBoggart Unfortunately I don‘t...what‘s it from? 2y
BookBoggart Haha it's from Bo Burnham's stand up caked "what." 2y
Pruzy @BookBoggart Gotcha! 2y
BookBoggart 😀 2y
RadicalReader @Pruzy now I‘m curious about other countries comparative novelists to Stephen King 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 1y

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Salt to the Sea was a powerful book. It takes place at the end of WWII, written in super short chapters, only a few pages each, with alternating first person POVs, which made it easy to fly through. Each character had their own story, all meeting up on the Wilhelm Gustloff. One thing though, the romance felt very rushed. Despite that, this book (the ending especially) was deep and terrifyingly detailed, but still amazing and memorable.

Ohmigod. This book was so intensely deep and sadly realistic. It is geared toward women who have been hurt, or maybe just feel hurt. I feel like every young woman should read this, and see that they do matter. I was so close to tears in parts! (📸 not mine) #milkandhoney #rupikaur #deep #poetry
