I am very glad I gave this book another try. I originally listened to the audiobook and couldn‘t finish it. Maybe it was the time in my life or the audiobook itself, but I just could not get into it. However, reading the physical book was great. I loved and devoured it.

Currently listening to: “The World That We Knew”

A different take on a classic fairy tale. This was a retelling of The Little Mermaid. It was dark and ominous, and even had a surprising turn of events. I really enjoyed reading this book almost as much as Pearce‘s other novels.
