finished this one last night & quite enjoyed it, it took a bit for me to get into it but once I was I didn't want to put it down. I thought the magic system was interesting & will definitely be continuing on with this series to see what all of these characters get into next

so I borrowed this ebook from my lib earlier today - it's a new release so was super excited to snag it (I may have a problem with obsessively checking my library overdrive page on tuesdays, but that's a story for another day). anyway, I was about to download it to my ereader only to discover IT WASNT THE RIGHT BOOK, my loan says the correct title but the actual pages are for something else entirely ...

Erin01 anyways wanted to ask if others have seen this issue / if it is an OverDrive issue or just my library (you don't even need to borrow the book to find out, even the preview on libby + overdrive is wrong) 4mo
Redwritinghood Never seen this. Maybe there‘s a report-a-problem function in the app. 4mo
Erin01 @Redwritinghood I haven't seen anything in the app but have submitted a issue though my library tech support page which is linked through their overdrive page 4mo

another audio I finished last week - I haven't been on litsy much but have got some reading it

this is one I've been meaning to read for a while & I'm so glad I finally did - this is a great look at Canada's water issues; breaking down the myth that Canada has lots of water to spare, looking at how industries have been misusing our water, how policy / politicians are failing, & etc.

finished this one on audio a few days ago & quite enjoyed it - as someone who cries when I get angry, I found the parts on anger & feeling powerless & tears speak to me .. I have a physical book out from the library as well & hope to skim some stuff again before I take it back. I'm just starting Rebacca Traisters book now & am interested to see how the do / do not compare

mrozzz I‘d also recommend looking up Senator Hirono‘s recent speech. She addressed that dilemma of angry women who shed tears. 8mo
Erin01 @mrozzz thanks! I will do that 8mo

^ from the poem American Arthmetic by Natalie Diaz. I like this whole poem, but the lines "I am doing my best to not become a museum of myself" & "Let me be lonely but not invisible" really stand out to me

finished this one on audio on the way home from work yesterday & quite enjoyed it. I liked how the author wove different perspectives of these waves - from the surfers huting out the best waves (I never knew toe in surfing was a thing before I read this) to the scientists research on them ⭐⭐⭐⭐
