3⭐
This wasn't easy to follow with all the points of view despite having multiple narrators for each of them. Honestly…it was just a meh kind of book, the ending was decent but everything leading up to it…was just okay. I think I'm in my hard-to-please era... The narration by all involved was the best part of this book. They did not skimp on the narration with this one.

First read of the year!

Decent thriller set in Malibu in the world of high-priced real estate. Five Realtors in the same form are each trying to find a buyer for an expensive beach-front house. A body is found in the pool during the open house. Each Realtor has secrets and motives.

I love discovering new-to-me authors and that‘s exactly what happened with this novel. I was hooked on this story from the very beginning! Ann‘s writing is engaging and fascinating. She made me fall in love with her characters. Hildy Good is a well-respected, successful real estate agent. Her adult daughters organized an intervention because Hildy drinks too much. We meet Hildy upon her return from rehab.

Finished listening to this one today!! I have a hard time staying focused with audio books but this one kept my attention. Twisting until the end kept me intrigued along with my favorite back-and-forth timeline between all of the characters. Would have enjoyed it in book format even more!! #scarathlon #hhc

A fun mystery unravels in a group of real estate agents who for work the same company but compete to sell a $50mil home to snag the prized commission. The story goes back and forth between time before the murder and after as well as from different points of view. A quick, enjoyable whodunit! Book#53 in 2023

A fun little murder mystery. It sounds weird to have ‘fun‘ and ‘murder‘ in the same sentence. But it was a good story. 5 agents competing for the million dollar commission on a Malibu beach house. But when a dead body is discovered all the secrets come out.

I liked the renovating of the house portions of the story better. I‘m actually not quite sure how the two stories fit together, except I suppose that the things that happened with Matt‘s family really were happening at the time. There were plenty of humourous bits, maybe more humourous because super-non-handy me could relate. I‘m sure they managed to do a heck of a lot more than I ever could have, even with help from friends! Overall, I liked it.
