This Is Where I Leave You | Tropper, Jonathan

#AnglophileApril I‘m not sure why this book popped into my head for #LetYouLoveMe but it‘s one of my FAVORITE books about family relationships and all the complicated ways we‘re connected. It‘s hilarious and easily one of the funniest books I‘ve ever read. I think book is wayyyyy better than movie, however movie was fun too!!

Cinfhen @ElishaLovesBooks if you haven‘t read this YOU MUST!!! It will definitely get you out of your reading slump xx #promise 😘 7mo
mrp27 Agreed! Loved the book, movie was ok. 7mo
JennyM #stacked!!!!! When you write in capitals I know it‘s good 😆 7mo

Cinfhen I‘m soooo glad you‘re gonna try it @JennyM it really is a FAV. I think I suggested it for @Kalalalatja and I‘m happy to know she liked it too!! You have fabulous taste in books @mrp27 💋💋 7mo
Kalalalatja It was a Cindy-rec @JennyM and I read it on the beach last Summer, and it was a perfect beach read - fun, dramatic and entertaining all the way through 👌 7mo
LeahBergen Such a funny read! 😆😆 7mo
TrishB So funny @JennyM I read after a Cindy recommendation too! 7mo
Cinfhen Did u like it @TrishB ??? I don‘t remember 😜 7mo
JennyM @TrishB @Kalalalatja @Cinfhen you‘re all to blame for my ginormous TBR (but I love you for it 😘) 7mo
TrishB @Cinfhen I loved it - very funny, especially when you have one of these families! 7mo
JackOBotts My book club enjoyed this book...the movie adaptation was decent, too. Lots of funny, and touching, moments. 7mo
TheRomantiCate I loved the movie!! I thought it was cast really well 🤩 7mo
emilyhaldi Good to know!! I wasn‘t a huge fan of the movie so it‘s kept me away from the book... but it‘ll give it a try! 7mo
Reviewsbylola I know I owned this one at some point but not sure if I still do. 🤔 7mo
Cinfhen It‘s one of the few books that literally had me snorting from laughter @Reviewsbylola @emilyhaldi @LeahBergen @JackOBotts @TheRomantiCate My family is large, with lots of BIG personalities and lots of drama and BS but we truly love each other so this book was so relatable. Although Thank God my mom & dad are both alive and well. 🙏🏻 7mo
Mdargusch Ha! I already have this stacked. 7mo
mrp27 Ironically I read this shortly after my father passed and I was going through a divorce at the same time so it all rang true. 7mo
Megabooks @Zelma just recommended this to me! I think I‘m going to try it! 7mo
Cinfhen Wow @mrp27 so this book must have felt a bit like art imitating life. But glad u found an outlet to release all the emotions you were going through. 7mo
Cinfhen I think you‘ll enjoy this book @Megabooks #GoForIt 7mo
Megabooks @Cinfhen just checked it out from the library. I have too many irons in the fire! (Not blow-pokes, 😬) I hate being a mood reader!! 7mo
Cinfhen But you gotta love the library 🧡🙌🏻🎊 @Megabooks #InstantGratification (edited) 7mo
Megabooks @Cinfhen Totally!! 7mo

Day 11 of #LiteraryLove and it's #promise
I was obsessed when these books first came out but somewhere around the 5th book I stopped reading. I can't remember if I lost interest in the story or if I was focused on other books. I may need to re-read this series to remember.
@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @vkois88

hjreviews I totally forgot about this book series! If I remember correctly it got weird towards the end. I think the only reason I finished the series is because I was still in the mindset that I had to be a true “book nerd” 😂 9mo
LokiDokey @hjreviews yea I think she became a blood whore or something in one of the books. It might have been this one lol 9mo

It‘s safe to say that Elizabeth Holmes and her colleagues made a whole bunch of #promise (s) they were unable to keep!
This book was one of my favs in 2018 and one hell of a wild ride! Be prepared to dive headfirst into the google rabbit hole...

Booksnchill There is a new podcast “The Dropout” from ABC News radio following this story- fascinating to hear from the folks you read about in Carryrou‘s book- and her crazy put-on voice! (edited) 9mo
