Probably a YA geared more to high school students, but still ... 🖤🧡🖤

My favorite book in the world. I love it SO much. I cannot tell you how many times I‘ve read this because it is an absolute gem, and my go-to novel if I want to read something. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone. Disclaimer: The reading of this novel inevitably comes with many, MANY tears, shouts of, “Why?” “No!!!”, and the unavoidable 100% chance of falling in love with Augustus Waters.

Was very good! I almost cried at the end!

I read this in 2012 & this reread was prompted by the book getting banned in Green‘s home state (Indiana) which is also mine. They pulled it from the young adult section which is an absolutely shocking decision. I loved revisiting these characters and reminding myself that there‘s absolutely nothing inappropriate in this book. It remains my favorite of his YA books.

My daughter read this book about five years ago and I watched the movie with her back then. Last month I decided to listen to the audiobook. Another five stars for Green. I always immediately care about the characters he brings to life. The narration on this was some of the best I‘ve heard as well.

The Fault In Our Stars follows the story of a young teen girl that soon discovers she suffering from thyroid cancer. On her journey, she finds herself falling for someone she never intended to. For a long time, she had been following a writer that‘s inspired her for a large chunk of her life, this is her most life changing event as what she imagined her role model to be is not even close.

I‘d been so busy with work that I wasn‘t reading much for so long.
These are the books I read during my vacation home! (Aside from The Mysterious Benedict Society, which I read last fall-ish.) I‘m tagging the one I liked the best. It was really a narrative style that I love—want to read more by John Green for sure! I didn‘t love ACoTaR or EHaD, but a lot of reviews say the sequels are better—thoughts on whether I should give them a chance?

I‘m not a YA or romance reader, let alone a YA romance reader, so me reading this was already a stretch. There were certainly parts that were endearing or poignant and, for awhile, I thought I was actually going to love it. Ultimately, it didn‘t land for me. I‘ll leave my biggest gripe in the comments with a spoiler warning. I listened to this one and I thought the narrator was top notch.

My second #roll100 read for January

This book took me several chapters to get into. But it was overall a good read! Definitely shows an interesting take on life and the process of dying… and who we influence as a result.

I enjoyed this book a lot!!! It had me crying towards the end. Hazel and Gus were great characters in the book!!! I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars!!!!

I started this book in October of 2021 and I read the first 2/3 chapters over and over again without continuing it.
Two weeks ago I chose to read it all and I honestly don't regret it at all. I thought it would make me cry, but the most hurting thing in this book wasn't so much described, so I think it's because of that that I managed not to cry.
but it was a really good book!

The story of two special teens.
Who understands the meaning and reason to live more.

The book is about a 17 year old girl Hazel who has cancer. She meets a boy named Augustus who used to have cancer also but is now free. They go through a lot together and create a genuine connection but in the end Augustus has some issues…
This book is really good i would recommend it there is never really a dull moment while reading.
This book is written in the first person POV, Hazel is the narrator.

You NEED to read this book! This book hits the highs and the lows and you can feel it while reading this book. The way Green puts his ideas into words is amazing, he has just a perfect way with words. It also changed the way I think for the better. I really recommend you read this book.

This book reminds me of my own first love - I read it after starting a long distance relationship. He and I both read the book and wrote notes in the margins for the other to see. It made us feel more connected even though we were so far apart. The relationship didn't work out but I still have that copy and it brings back memories when I see it.

So I‘m a little late to this party (like 10 years late)… but I‘m glad I read this even though I‘m not typically a big YA reader. I‘m also currently reading The Anthropocene Reviewed by the same author and loving that one (five stars). ✨

The fault in our stars is about the story of a young girl in her teens named Hazel Lancaster who is suffering from lung cancer. Her mother, who see‘s her daughters loneliness and struggles, convinces Hazel to join a cancer support group. Hazel eventually accepts, while still being reluctant about it. There she meets a young boy named Augustus, the two off them grow a friendship and possible relationship over the shared love of books. Until one (1)

I can‘t, this book was so well written I don‘t have any words. This book set me off on a rollercoaster of emotions, first it was a rollercoaster the only went up, until nearing the end when it all went down to hell... (ps. Congratulations if you caught the references, Okay?) 😉
