IndoorDame I saw a google commentary by the host of another readalong also asking about her age and saying the book mentions she‘s six at some point a few chapters further in… I‘ll definitely be on the lookout for that tidbit when we get there. 2y

RebelReader It seemed to me like Polly was play acting as being the lady of the house with her father. I found Graham and Polly‘s interaction amusing even if she seems way older than 6 years old. 2y

suvata Polly has a 6-year-old‘s crush on a teenaged Graham. At this point it‘s kind of cute. I remember my young granddaughter‘s crush on one the high school lacrosse players. 🥍 As for her age, she is educated beyond her years. Emotionally, not so much. 2y

Sparklemn It's surprising what a non-entity our narrator has been so far. It's like she's just observing and not really a participant in the story. I'm assuming that will change! 2y
