Read in June😳This was a cozy mystery where Carla is found dead after she had a public confrontation with Violet about her “voodoo shop (book blurb) But after this tragic event the situation turns complicated when her mother with whom she had no contact since her childhood, appears to reveal family secrets and Violet true heritage...dan, dan, dan, dan☺️3⭐️It was fun for me.

Super late #JoysOfJune Readathon Wrap-Up!

My goal was to read 3 books. I finished Wool and started The Bird King. I know it still counts. 😅

Thank you for continuing to host and encourage us @Andrew65 !

I got a little distracted from reading last weekend. I spent Fri., Sat., and Sun. on Navy Pier watching SailGP Chicago and then slept most of Monday. I did manage to finish Dogged By Death. Veterinarian Ally Winter returns to her small Wisconsin town after her fiance‘ leaves her. She reunites with her grandfather, discovers a dead man, and becomes entangled in the mystery. Plus, it has a boxer on the cover. #JoysOfJune @Andrew65

A little late, but here‘s my wrap-up of #JoysOfJune.

I did everything on my tbr and even managed to read some other shorter reads as well: Kråksommar (Crow Summer), Flush and the first two volumes of the manga Orange.

So I had a great readathon.

Thanks for hosting @Andrew65

Pickpick

I finished the #JoysOfJune readathon yesterday with a reread of this middle book in the Deptford Trilogy. Not among my favourites of Davies's works, but still so very good. My favourite quote from the book: “Fanaticism is overcompensation for doubt.“

TiredLibrarian Thank you for reminding me about Robertson Davies! I read the trilogy years ago and loved it. 9mo
TheAromaofBooks Yay!!! 9mo
kwmg40 @TiredLibrarian I loved this trilogy too and am enjoying the reread, but my favourite is the Cornish trilogy. 9mo
