A birthday gift to myself. It was really enjoyable seeing so many qftm stories told in one book but it did lack a bit of diversity. Finished it up very quickly though.

Today the birthday fairies are delighted to send special birthday wishes, along with a sprinkling of fairy dust, to our bookish friend, @ju.ca.no ... please join us in honoring Julia today!!

The Scottish Parliament goes back to work today and there's a big drive for trans rights and resolving the delays to the revised Gender Recognition Act. Hopefully after the activism there'll be reasons for some positive #tubthumping to come #RedRoseSeptember
Finished this up this morning while enjoying a rather relaxing Sunday off.
This book is excellent, so much detailed information on the intersection of race and gender, and trans topics that are usually only briefly mentioned.
At the end of the book there‘s also a great section on how to assess your school/business/medical environment for trans competency. This is so needed.
A+

Currently reading this morning.
We need WAY MORE books written by trans people of color.

Skimmed the last chapter or so due to disinterest.
The biggest problem seemed to be that the author, a self-described baby boomer, cisgender lesbian, filtered her thoughts on transgender men through that lens. Lots of misinformation and bias.
It‘s sad because we need more literature on this very subject... it would just be nice if it were accurate literature.
Returning to my pile of books by actual trans people now.
#transbooks
Oh my god, if you don‘t understand, like or accept trans men please don‘t think you can write an entire book about the subject. This chapter is the worst.
