Librarybelle Good morning! I am excited to attend a mystery book event today. The rest of the weekend will be catching up on chores I missed doing this week because of taking Zeke to appointments. TheBookHippie We are preparing for exams here: my son has all his international baccalaureate exams this week and he is really anxious- so I‘m helping him BREATHE and go over things casually… two years of classes comes down to one paper in each subject- Hisory, English… etc -that you write in 5 parts on one subject in differing ways from ONE QUESTION. Then depending how you do it can count for certain amounts of college credits. It‘s worldwide so I get⬇️ 3d

thecheckoutstack After two weeks of pneumonia I‘m finally starting to feel like myself, but I woke up with a bit of a sore throat so feeling a little paranoid. The weather is beautiful here today, hoping to build a fence around my new raised garden beds. 3d

I start to do well, but my husband is not interested, so it's been a battle to get stuff done -- we did do his dressers today (I did mine a weekish ago). Librarybelle Good morning! I‘m spending the day with a friend, which will be fun. Zeke has been off his steroid treatment in preparation for his appointment next week, and he started to show signs of discomfort on Thursday night. The rest of my weekend will be me monitoring him and giving him what medications I can to alleviate his symptoms enough to get him to eat again. Poor guy. Other than a couple incidences the past couple of weeks, he was doing well. 1w

Librarybelle Thanks, @AllDebooks @julieclair ! We should hopefully find out next week the primary cause for his issues, so then I can get the best treatment for Zeke. This is such a long process. Lots of trial and error. 1w

Sace I confess I started my week in an irritable mood despite having Monday off. The skies were gray and I had been people-ing too much. I‘m feeling better now. My only plans today are grocery shopping, haircut, lunch and reading. 6mo

Read4life We‘re still in the USVI taking care of my father in law. There was no change with him this week. We were able to get to the beach 4 days this week. This weekend we‘re going to spend time with my mother in law and her husband. In spite of the stressful reason we‘re here, we are getting some wonderful time with family. 6mo

Librarybelle I found I wanted to read last night, which it‘s been a few days since I really could. There‘s been a lot on my mind, and Heather Cox Richardson‘s post this morning puts it into words so eloquently. She‘s an amazing political historian who bases everything she says on facts and history. But, this weekend is usual routines, with Sunday being a family get together. These checkins are so nice. Thank you! ❤️ 6mo

You don't have to pay for it if you don't want to. She is also doing an audio version if you're interested in that. It comes out later in the day. Did you see the post she wrote the day after the election? And her posts generally take less than 10 minutes to read. 6mo

I also heard her speak a few weeks ago at a virtual event, and I was struck by how articulate and knowledgeable she is. I have her books and really need to read them. I agree with @Suet624 …it takes me less than 10 minutes to read her posts. 6mo

TheBookHippie Well considering people I love and even some on here voted against my being it‘s 😵‍💫. The people being really quiet because they don‘t dare say hate out loud and actually do know how dangerous it is now for me, and my students especially, (and a large population of people that live in the US) is hard to digest. I also picked a great week to have a dental implant removed--plus finding out I had a pretty bad infection. Just the cherry on the banana split that reeks of mold.
