I grabbed a few Goosebumps books from the library for nostalgia and I‘m going to let this one fulfill my #finishinaday prompt for #booked2020

The story was alright. Michael‘s sister was honestly the worst - I felt real sympathy for him as she always got him into trouble lol. He ends up cursed and de-aging except it was more time just moved backwards rather than him de-aging in the present year. Still an ok read though

This is a wonderful little book! Why didn't I get to read it when I was little? Most of my friends criticize its simplicity and obviousness, but I think it's perfectly OK when children's book presents its ideas clearly. And those ideas aren't childish at all. Rough day, but this was an unexpected delight. I hadn‘t been planning on doing April‘s #authoramonth as I expected Edith Wharton to be stuffy/polite/heavy. Turns out not. This short story about a snooty bookclub was laugh-out-loud funny & very clever (but not TOO clever!). I need to go back & read the middle bit again, to peer a little more into Xingu‘s depths.

Will definitely read more Wharton -but might head for Mapp & Lucia in the meantime.
