Funny pick for #Booked2020 #HeadCoveringOnCover 😁 As for the book, I like Abercrombie's series, but it seems that his every other novel differs very little from previous ones. There are new heroes in A Little Hatred, but they are just like his old characters, and old ones are the same as before. The world is evolving though, scenes of social upheavals are the most interesting moments of the book. @Cinfhen @4thhouseontheleft @BarbaraTheBibliophage

I get the hype. 🙌 once I got used to the writing style, I was hooked. I loved learning how all the stories about black, British women were connected, I loved getting different and diverse perspectives, opinions and experiences. Evaristo somehow made all of the characters relatable, even though my own story is very unlike theirs. Evaristo made them real for me, and I can only appreciate what she has managed to do with this book 🙌

Sharp, snippy and dead pan... this was a fast-paced, pulpy noir that throws you right into the middle of the action and ends with a ‘killer‘ twist.... really fun read. 😊💕 4⭐️

So gripping, leaving you guessing until the end. I love the way Alice Hoffman writes. This book has two main characters and it bounces back and forth between each one‘s backstory and present time. It was an intriguing way to write the sorry and I loved it. I‘m using this one as my #headcoveringoncover for #booked2020

Bk3 of #JumpStart2020 is done! A fantastic memoir, I listened to it on audio being read by the author & she totally brought it to life. From her childhood as the daughter of a duke, her marriage to an eccentric scottish noble that buys the island of Mustique then the last 30yrs as a lady-in-waiting to Princess Margaret.
