I‘ve mostly been coloring and it‘s almost midnight but tomorrow‘s another day.
#weekendreads
Do Not Say - didn‘t finish last weekend, but got most of it done, so I‘m just going to read a few chapters over the weekend
Secret Keeper - hope to read a bunch more
Maya & Natasha - finished the book Saturday afternoon
Fellowship and Rust & Stardust - hope to start @ least 1 of them on Sunday
A very thorough piece of work. Detailing the folk movement in general. Folk music was never really my genre. I‘ve always appreciated the depth of Dylan‘s lyrics. And love the movie “A Complete Unknown”. When Dylan went electric it was a pivotal moment in rock history. After this rock was no longer just about sex and cars, but could deal with deeper issues.
I‘m giving this a marginal pick. About two piano players, a middle aged child prodigy and a young celebrity. I liked the exploration of their struggles and their deep love and connection for music. There were just some odd choices in plot and one of the main characters Prudence is 48, but reads in her 60‘s and the timelines don‘t always make sense. If you love music, I recommend though. 3.5⭐️
This was one of my earliest cassette tapes. It came about after the success of his recording of The Itsy Bitsy Spider for an AIDS benefit album. This collection is not readily available these days, but I was able to find a copy to download, and what a blast from the past! 😆
