These aren't even #stickersoncvr they're 🤬🤬 embossed into the cover. What makes it worse is that All of the paperback editions produced after the announcement of the show had these marketing stamps, despite *irony of ironies* the show has now been cancelled. (I obviously have strong feelings about this lolol)

Tkimsal They ruin book covers with that crap! 10h
vivastory @Tkimsal Right?; like the entire world doesn't know about the adaptation? Like Amazon prime is some indie start-up that has to market as much as possible?! Bleh 10h

Buddy read with @Branwen and @DaveGreen7777 💕💕 LOVE YOU BOTH!

This was an enjoyable Tolkien-inspired epic fantasy. I feel like I can't really rate it properly because the story is only just beginning!

Chosen one vibes, hordes of Trollocs, the classic struggle of good versus evil, local folks at the inn going feral for bangers played on the flute!

I liked it best when they reached the cities, or when Moiraine started kicking ass!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

DaveGreen7777 Awww, love you, too, Dr. Rae! 😊 I‘m so happy you buddy read this with us and got to experience the awesomeness of the Wheel of Time… as well as the awesomeness of Nynaeve and Moiraine! 😁 3d
RaeLovesToRead @DaveGreen7777 I promise I will do less slacking for book 2! I'm into it now! 😇 3d
Branwen Love you too, Rae! Soooooo excited to start book two together! 📚💕 1d

I had a complicated relationship with this and for a while was just reading because a friend recommended it. It took too long for the author to invite me into the story (2 hours), I hated how many sections there were before chapter 1, and a lot of stuff felt unnecessary in the begging. After about 10 hours I did start enjoying things and looking forward to what happened next. I wish the women had more page time or there were more women leads.

What a way to start a series… this was an epic beginning. I can‘t wait to read the next book

I found this one, or at least the first three parts of it, harder to get through than the previous book in the series. Nevertheless, I liked seeing Shadesmar via the Adolin and Shallan storyline, and the last part of the book had me frequently picking my jaw up off the floor as I have often experienced with Sanderson's work. I will be interested to see where this goes in Wind and Truth... but not for a little while, haha.

I got my #JolabokaflodSwap, thank you @TheDaysGoBy! Very excited to find out what's inside and immerse myself in it guilt-free because... I finished the Wheel of Time series, finally, after beginning the first one way back in 2019. Fourteen books and thousands and thousands of pages. I like that the ending wasn't what I expected. It's a decent series but I disagree with the NYT that it could ever compare to or surpass LOTR. @maleficentbookdragon

TheDaysGoBy Glad you got it! 1mo
