#Readaroundtheworld #Brazil

This is a book by a Brazilian author about a Spanish shepherd who goes in search of treasure in Egypt, that‘s a lot of ground covered 🤣

The central theme of the novel is having a dream & achieving that dream, it also encompasses the idea of fate & the way the universe will help those who follow their dreams. Reminded me off #thedarktower #Ka

Fate is never straightforward & sometimes you go back to go forward.

MinDea What did everyone think of this book? Did you enjoy it? Do you have a favorite character or scene that happened in this book? 12mo
MinDea Are you excited to start the third one in August? 12mo
Andrew65 Loved the whole section with Eddie Dean, the bit on the plane was full of tension. Can‘t wait to spend more time with Eddie. 12mo

EadieB @MinDea I think the best scene is when Mort got cut in half by the train. 12mo
BookwormAHN I really enjoyed this one. I think Eddie is becoming one of my favorite characters. 12mo
TrishB I felt like the story really started to take off in this one. I loved the jumping between the two worlds. 12mo
Andrew65 @BookwormAHN Totally agree. 12mo
AmberWB This was definitely one of my favorites, although it did stress me out. 😊 12mo
BookwormM I really like Eddie not so sure about Detta/Odetta but I do like the way that these misfit characters have a unique and special destiny 12mo
TK421 I loved the Eddie section. That was one of the best gunfight scenes that I have ever read. 12mo
TK421 @EadieB I have to agree with you. Mort was awful. He tied a bit of the story together, but I was happy to see him go. After reading about Eddie, I expected The Pusher to be about drugs. 12mo
EadieB @TK421 I hated what Mort did to Jake and Susannah. 12mo
MinDea Mort totally deserved what he got. I loved how they all sort of tied together in their old "when" worlds. I hope Susannah grows on your guys! ? @EadieB @TK421 @BookwormM @AmberWB @Andrew65 @TrishB @BookwormAHN Eddie is a great character too! It is so hard for me to pick a favorite one. They all are so good and grow I to such amazing characters! ? 12mo
TrishB Without giving too much away, I love Susannah 💕 12mo
Andrew65 @BookwormM I also wasn‘t sure about Detta / Odetta, and as a result didn‘t enjoy that section as much. 12mo
Andrew65 @MinDea I am looking forward to reading the next book, and already have it downloaded. 12mo
Jovy I agree with everybody on Eddie‘s section! What struck me on this re-read was the almost insta-luv between Eddie and Odetta. Completely forgot that it unfolded like that. I also loved Roland in the gun and drug store scenes! Rolex for Keflex! 😂 12mo
MinDea @Jovy I didn't remember it going that way (so quickly) either! It was #ka! 💙 I loved the gun and drug store scenes too! 12mo
MinDea Awesome @Andrew65! I am all ready too! 12mo
MinDea @TrishB 💙 She is so good. I hope everyone else sees that too! 12mo
tonyahoswalt Eddie really grew on me. I look forward to hopefully liking Susannah as we get to know her, because I did not like Detta. Odetta was fine though. I know Mort was awful, but I think his section was my favorite. The connections really stuck out to me, and then yes, I was happy he got what he deserved. @EadieB @TK421 @BookwormM 12mo
MinDea When I was creating the schedule for the next book I was having fun remembering what is to come! I don't remember much of this book so it'll be a great re-read for me! @TrishB @Andrew65 @TK421 @tonyahoswalt @Jovy @EadieB @BookwormAHN @BookwormM @AmberWB 12mo
tonyahoswalt @Jovy I liked Eddie, but his instalove for Odetta was a little much. At least she she thought she could love him, but wasn't certain. 12mo
tonyahoswalt I'm looking forward to the next book 😄 12mo
MinDea @tonyahoswalt Yes his section is a great one and does shape this late a lot! I agree when reading it the second time and remembering how quick Eddie fell in love with Odetta/Detta seemed strange but it's #ka! 12mo
TrishB I‘ve found I remember the headlines- but not do much of the detail! Really enjoying it 😁 12mo
ScientistSam @EadieB @MinDea that was a great scene to be sure! It seems like there's a lot of injustice in this story/world. I also loved how Roland pays for the penicillin with a Rolex. 12mo
ScientistSam @Jovy! Yes, loved the Rolex for keflex and sharpshooting scenes! It amazes me how careful Roland is to avoid shooting Innocents after the whole scene with Jake's death in the last book. 12mo
MinDea @ScientistSam It is such an interesting character of Roland's to pay for the medicine and bullets and also not want Innocents to be hurt. I wonder if there is a sense of pride in the other "whens"? 12mo
trioxin_sematary @TrishB The Drawing of the Three is he real beginning of The Dark Tower story, that's why I always implore people who dislike The Gunslinger to carry on until at least the end of book 2. How are you liking it now? 12mo

CouronneDhiver Hawaii is the best. Have an awesome time! 14mo
JHSiess @CouronneDhiver I come to Maui 3-4 times per year, usually for 2 weeks. I would live here if I could afford it. 🤔 Alas, I would have to live in the proverbial little grass shack . . . 😏 14mo

Suet624 But you already live in heaven! (I‘m missing Sonoma right now.) 14mo
JHSiess I don't know that I'd call Lodi "heaven" . . but there are lots of other places I wouldn't consider living. Pretty much anything other than Maui is out of the question, actually. ? Sonoma is lovely, too. Wine country . . . Like Lodi! ?????? 14mo

"Go, then. There are other worlds than these."

When I found myself saying a close paraphrase of this to someone as an actual answer in a discussion, I knew Sai King was not only in my head, but in the fabric of my soul. #Ka #greatquotes #somethingforseptember
