National Geographic definitely makes solid science books for beginning readers. This one is a Level 2 for those who are reading independently and ready for longer sentences. It's current on modern astronomy and, as usually, includes definitions for harder words and jokes.

This guy has been hanging out in my library during recess after breaking his arm. Today he chose to do "Pioneer School" with students that are 2 years older. Students have copies of lessons from the tagged books. I call it "Pioneer School" because we are at the terminus of the wagon trail. They just read and write. The idea is that they are busy and I can focus on students doing more serious work. I'm always amazed by how popular it is.

bthegood love all you do for your students - 🌞 4w

Linsy 😂 Kindle has made this even worse! 1mo
fictionaddictbooks @Linsy but you can set up blueshade at night on your kindle to reduce the blue light and that can help you fall asleep quicker while reading. Works for me. 1mo

I had this on my TBR for quite a long time. Finally completed this classic.
This book is all about common people and their nature, friendships, families, love, religion extremism and the madness that comes along with it, virtues, life and death.

#OnThisDay in 1719 Robinson Crusoe was published. A hallmark of realistic fiction, and (possibly) one of the first English novels, Crusoe introduced the "Man (or Girl) Friday" to the English language. Originally published as a tale written by Crusoe himself, many mistook it for a true travelogue. Incredibly popular from the moment of publication, four editions were published before the end of 1719 #HistoryGetsLIT

TheAromaofBooks I keep meaning to reread this one. I really enjoyed it back in high school. 2mo
TheKidUpstairs @TheAromaofBooks it is one of those books that I've never read, but feel like I vaguely know. But I also think I probably get it all mixed up with other shipwreck/island/etc books. Someday I'll read it (as I say to myself about so so so many classics 🤣🤣) 2mo
