I really liked this one, particularly the main character of Emmy (a police officer) and look forward to more in the series. I did think the story moved a little slow at times (not unusual for the 1st in a series), but it then built up to a thrilling and unexpected conclusion. Note that this is a dark police procedural that deals with pedophilia and horrific crimes against teen girls, so it is not for everyone. Thanks to Edelweiss for the ARC. 4/5
I was annoyed when this wasn‘t another Will Trent but I loved it! Can‘t wait to see how the series develops.
Honestly Slaughter pulled out all the stops on this one, not as intensely grisly as some of her works but it‘s still very dark. The small town with a big secret, complicated family history, the clues adding up… perfect!
Starting on audio…Karin Slaughter is Queen! 👑

4.75 stars! This was so good! The characters were developed and the mystery/suspense going throughout was intense & there were twists at the end that made for a satisfying conclusion. I‘m glad this is the first in a series because I‘m looking forward to revisiting some of these characters. It‘s dark and intense like her books are but very good!! Be prepared for a ride!
Trust me, you will love WE ARE ALL GUILTY HERE by the brilliant Karin Slaughter.
This is my favourite kind of Crime Thriller, packed to the brim with police procedures and a change to discover for one self who the culprit is.
Slaughter really has a unique ability to write characters you can't help loving; in impossible situations, you don't want to find yourself in.
I'm intrigued to know what will happen next for my new friends in North Falls.
I tend to be opinionated about details in a thriller so it‘s always fun for me when a thriller wins the tag for my grid!
5 ⭐️= Loved It, would recommend to others. A+
4 ⭐️= Liked it, would love to discuss. Solid B
3.5 ⭐️ = Close to either pick or so-so
3 ⭐️= Meh, no need to discuss. Avg C
2 ⭐️=Nope D
1 ⭐️=DNF F
Knowing this was the first book in the series, I decided to prioritize characters and their relationships vs the actual mystery to be solved. That was working fine until we got to 12 years later in the story and all of a sudden the mystery became every bit as interesting as the characters. I can‘t wait to continue on with this series.
Excuse the weird expression on my face, but I got to meet Karin Slaughter for a second time! She is awesome and hilarious. I had a blast! This was the book tour for her new book, We Are All Guilty Here. 🤓📚💕

This was a brilliant first in the series with all new characters. The plot was detailed and interesting. Definitely not for the faint hearted. The author really goes dark and deep in these but it works and keeps the reader hooked. The ending was clever and I enjoyed the twists along the way. I also wasn't sure of the killers identity until near the end which I love. The characters are interesting and it was certainly an explosive first look. 5*
Fabulous Sunday read! If you already love Slaughter, then this is classic Slaughter with all the gore, horrible stuff and twists and turns.
Couldn‘t put it down.
Dark, twisty, small town kidnapping/murder mystery/thriller. No one does it better than Karin Slaughter! Highly recommend as long as you aren‘t too squeamish. CW-child abuse and murder. Releases August 12 #netgalleygroup @AllDebooks
