pickI couldn‘t put it down! It was recommended by another host of Book Interrupted as my next book series obsession and this one completely delivered. The romance was everything I‘m looking for. It was steamy, but it built to it so that me as the reader was also ready for the tension to break. I don‘t want to spoil any of it, but the ending was a complete surprise and I can‘t wait for the next one. Thankfully my hold is available soon at the library!

For there, in the land beyond the shadows, were monsters that dwelled in the night and dined on the souls of children who wandered too close to the woods.
pickThis one won me over by the end. The last few chapters are explosive, and I loved the devotion of the love interest 😋
Having said that, I don't disagree with the criticism either. Fourth Wing isn't perfect. It's clichéd, the MC is annoying, and the world-building is sloppy and jars with the modern language.
Still, there is a reason why it is resonating with so many readers, and I'm invested now.

Rebecca Yarros. I bought Fourth Wing almost a year ago and it's been sitting on a bookshelf ever since. I really do need to read this series and see if it's as good as everyone says.

Picked these out at Sam‘s Club for my vacation reading (going to hang out at the lake next week). I‘m curious, so I‘m going for it. Yay dragons! 😉
so-soI folded to the hype. I listen to a lot of audiobooks but I‘d not done a GraphicAudio before. That part was enjoyable. And while I mostly enjoyed the story, there were things that I found annoying as well. I will continue on because I‘m kind of a sucker once I start a series, but my general feeling is that this is overhyped.

so-soI wanted to see what all the fuss was about after my local indie had a big launch event for the latest in this series. I get how a fan of “new adult” fantasy would love this. It was entertaining enough, but I won‘t be continuing the series.
WOW! I cannot believe I did it. Having not read consistently for YEARS and getting hooked on Fourth Wing at the start of 2025, I decided to challenge myself to read 25 books this year. NEVER did I imagine that four and a half months later I would already achieve my goal! What‘s next? I have a few mysteries to finish and then I think maybe I will challenge myself to another 25 books.

pick(Book 2 of 2025) Just wow! Everything was perfect from this book. The writing, the story, the world building, the characters! This was my first time reading something by Yarros and it definitely will not be the last because I have to finish this series! Yarros makes you go through all the emotions. It's written in such a manner that you can practically feel the fire, smell the scent of sweat and FEEL that sexual tension! See Comments....
so-soThe protagonist, Violet, faces an unexpected path shifting from her scribe aspirations to surviving in the dangerous Riders Quadrant. The story features emotional betrayals, and a mix of humor and complexity, particularly with the dragon characters. While the world-building is appreciated, excessive foreshadowing and anachronistic language affect immersion.

I am devouring this book! I‘m always down for some dragons in books. But the two main characters?? Ughh… obsessed!
so-soThis book is a tough one to rate. So much hype! First off, fantasy is not my go-to genre. I felt that it was written for a younger audience (and it probably was). This doesn‘t mean it was badly written. It had way too many “fight” scenes, which don‘t interest me. I do like the concept of dragons. Other than that, I feel that this book was just so-so. I lost likely won‘t read the other books in the series.
Conscription day is always the deadliest.

pickI listened to the Graphic Audio #audiobook and was thrilled with my selection!
Some things were predictable, while a couple items surprised me. I “rode and did not die,” so I‘m in on the hype!
Though, I was disappointed in the big battle scene - Violet was practically useless - her ability didn‘t grow with the task set before her. She definitely frustrated me there.
Recovering well from extraction but I miss solid food. Everywhere I turn this series is shoved in my face. Let‘s find out if it‘s actually worth the hype🤞🐉 if you‘ve read this let me know your opinion or anything i should know just try to keep it spoiler free 💕
I‘m finally finishing Fourth Wing graphic audio. I did listen to the first half last year and then dropped in along with my reading habits. But these ‘theater of the mind‘ audiobooks are the best.
