He couldn‘t wait to dig into his latest book (tagged) after picking out a #BlitsySwap book for his swap match.

I read this in November, as may be apparent from the fall-themed pic I took at the time. 😜

I loved this second Harper Hall book. It continues Menolly‘s story as she arrives at the Harper Hall and begins training as an apprentice. It has a similar emotional depth as the first book, as Menolly faces prejudice & difficulty fitting in, and struggles to recognize her own value even as she is encouraged and drawn out by new-found mentors & friends. ⤵️

BarbaraJean I‘m still sad I never read these as a kid! Hoping to read more of the main Pern books this year—reading the Harper Hall books was my first intro to McCaffrey‘s writing. 4d
TheAromaofBooks I read this wholllllle series a couple of years ago and really enjoyed them. I definitely recommend published order, although I do see myself rereading them in chronological order at some point as well. I also found this great website that has a timeline of the books and how they overlap, because it gets confusing!! - http://pern.srellim.org/chrono.htm 4d

Yes! 100% yes!
I DEVOURED this book in one sitting. I loved everything about this book. I cried, I was angry, I chuckled, and I was surprised. The writing was great, the plot was great, just everything yes! There are dragons, a badass woman, conflicting attraction, what more could you want?!

Disclaimer- second book doesn‘t come out until Nov. 2022 😩

Happy National Dragon Day! 🐉❤ I couldn't fit an actual dragon in my last picture, so of course I had to take another one! 🤣😂 Eragon will always have such a special place in my heart, as it was one of the first series (along with Dealing With Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede) that really got me into dragons! Also, it's such a comfort read for me - any time I'm feeling a bit down I feel myself craving a reread of these books! 🐉📚💕 #dragonsoflitsy

This book alternates between Eragon and his cousin Roran‘s POVs, which i really enjoy. It‘s about as good as the first, and i definitely liked the different POVs. Gerard Doyle does some pretty good voices for the #audiobook.

Even though i‘ve read this series a few times, i haven‘t actually read this book until now! It wasn‘t available at the library so i just went “eh” and picked up Brisingr. Everything makes a lot more sense now 😅.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was such a cute graphic novel!
The artwork was amazing (particularly with the water dragons and ocean texture) and very appropriate for the middle grade audience of this book.
I really liked the overall messages of “encouraging/non-disciplinarian education methods are better than harshness”.
